  1. Toonster, guys that I think could would be Saunders, Carreno, Hendricks, Contreras, Loosen, Marra, maybe Raley or Rusin. It's as much an indictment of other systems as it is some of these guys talent levels. But the Diamondbacks, Royals, A's Nats, Reds, Blue Jays, Yankees, and Braves all have weakened their systems quite a bit and have very little depth currently. Then you have the Dodgers, White Sox, Angels, Tigers, Giants, and Orioles that haven't had depth in a while and still don't. Hell, everyone I listed would make the Angels, Tigers, and White Sox top 30's, many likely in the top 20 even.
  2. And they're more interested in Porcello than Mike Maroth. Thanks Bruce. He also mentioned he wouldn't trade Chris Sale for ANYONE in baseball and said the White Sox have a top 5 rotation in baseball. To top it, off, while he admitted the White Sox probably couldn't get PROFAR for [expletive] Viciedo, he basicalky said he'd be hesitant to do it, because Viciedo can hit 30 homers. At one time, Levine had a grasp, due to having solid contacts inside Hendry's regime. He's got nothing now and he's proving he's an absolute blithering moron.
  3. I'm not sure what we set out to do. That said, the depth this system has is certainly among the deepest in baseball. Maybe THE deepest. There are guys that haven't been picked yet that would show up on half the teams in the league top 30 lists. It's certainly a measure of preference at this point, but we could likely come up with 60 guys we feel have a shot at making the majors.
  4. There is at least a bit of speculation of Albert getting dealt. Wonder what it'd take to get him? Not having a full set of picks is an issue.
  5. Porcello would be a very nice get, in a deal for Marmol.
  6. I had the Bengals last year, I can take them again or fill in wherever is needed.
  7. The more I read about the guys in this class, the more I'm seeing a class like 2011.
  8. Law still sees Ziomek as a 2nd rounder.
  9. Cap question: I know there are certain days in the year where you HAVE to be under. But, if we've not made moves between now and the 12th, can you go sign a player that puts you over? I'm thinking the answer is no, but wanted to check?
  10. Thanks TT. Oh well, I respect Law, was hoping for a positive review. Hope he's wrong.
  11. Anyone got Insider? Curious what Law thinks of Bretts' new swing?
  12. Javy has the MLB logo tattooed on the back of his neck.
  13. While a RT, has Smith ever played LT before? If not, do you go after him on the right side and just figure Webb in as the LT again? Baker or Loadholdt legit upgrades over Carimi as well, if we go that route. Move Carimi inside and thats likely an upgrade too.
  14. Starlin's likely out til next Monday. Precautionary.
  15. If Albert stays in KC, its not the end of the world. He's kind of injury-prone anyway. Long, Smith, and Vollmer could all be out there. Loadholt and Baker would be improvements as well. I'm wanting the line improved as a unit, not just LT. We had more issues than just Webb. I guess my perfect scenario is sign Albert and have Warmack fall to us in the draft, but there's plenty of combos I'd be OK with.
  16. No clue actually. E-Jax didn't get qualified and Sanchez couldn't. If they had been, who knows if their market would have been different? Unless its an absolute elite player, I think we'll see the qualified players struggle to find homes. Counting on teams with protected 1sts that feel like they're close to contention, to sign them.
  17. Chris Crawford, who runs MLBDraftInsider, is a great follow on Twitter, and just got pegged to write for ESPN's draft coverage, just updated his big board. He moved Chris Anderson from off the board(top 25) all the way to 13. Good call, Raisin.
  18. AZPhil predicted Stewart gets released, Vizcaino gets moved to 60 man DL and Lillibridge and Takahashi get added to 40 man. We know the starters, his bench is Navarro, Lillibridge, Clevenger, Hairston, and Sappelt. His pen is Marmol, Fujikawa, Russell, Camp, Bowden, Takahashi, and Rondon.
  19. Hatley falls into the same category as Struck did for me: The FO didn't think enough of him to put on the 40 man and no team thought enough of him to pick him up either. Raley, who I think pretty little of, is still on the 40 man. If the FO evidently thinks he's a better prospect than those two, then I'm buying they see something in him that translates moreso than whatever Struck or Hatley has.
  20. So he's walked twice and been hit. Does he have an official AB today?
  21. Damnit. Hope he's OK. Javy with the 10 pitch, bases loaded walk.
  22. Vogelbach is in now too. How long was the Javybomb?
  23. Brett drew a walk after falling behind in the count.
  24. Baker. I should have specified. Meant if one goes down before season begins. Baker supposedly is coming back mid-April at the earliest.
