    Good stuff Banedon. Should be very interesting when Woody and Prior come back. The walks have to be improved upon.

    Can Murton, or Jones play first? If so, I say go hard after Miggy. We need another power bat anyway. Wont happen, but if DLee is out for an extended period of time, then I'm worried about the power and RBI production. Aramis is the only legit power hitter in the line up. And we all know his leg issues.

    It has been more than a decade, but the Bell for Sosa trade has to be one of the worst. And not from the Cubs end. :lol:

    Wait 'til you see game 2... So far, in game 2, a HR and a double. 8) The Cubs could use that.

    Also, the Cards lost the lefty King out of the pen. Their pen is really in bad shape if you ask me. Big question mark IMO.

    I agree. I would rest a lot easier if this thing was either confirmed or denied by a credible source....I.E. Bruce. I would say don't get your hopes up unnecessarily. Repeat. :lol: Man your harsh. I know, it makes too much sense.

    I love the fact that the Cubs are begging for some Miggy action. This kid is amazing. Numbers compare favorably to Pujols as one poster mentioned. In other words this is the "power bat" that we have been looking for for 2 years now. And by the sounds of it, if the reports are accurate and the Cubs are begging to get in on the action, then the Cubs realize this too.

    The key word in that statement is the Angels said NO. Miggy could be the final peice of the Cubs puzzle. I say you gotta give it a shot.

    That's part of the reason why you shouldn't get your hopes up. LOL, I was just thinking that. It almost makes TOO much sense for the Cubs to make this move.

    I agree that part of Pierre's value is it means Dusty won't be able to bat some piece of trash in the leadoff spot. But it doesn't mean a thing when it comes to the 2 hole. Neifi will still get his shot there. Just say no to Neifi!!!!
