    It's a group of 7 people, they'll be fine. If the NLDS goes 5, I will most certainly be bailing on a concert with 1 other person. Did you stop to consider that David is the one that connects all of this people? Maybe he's the hub. Maybe all of their connections are routed through him. Are you saying that without David there it... all falls down?

    Yeah I don't think it's weird given that it's a group of 8 people and it's likely your biggest hobby (given your posting/reading habits on NSB, I can't imagine anything else takes up more spare time).

    Only the NL teams play on Saturday, so wouldn't the earliest game be about 5-6 CT? Then the second game like 7:30-8:30 CT? that might be right. i'll take 5 pm, and hopefully it'll be an RD game by the time i have to walk in the doors. I've gotta say, I'm pretty surprised to hear that you're choosing a Kanye concert over a Cubs playoff game David. Especially this Cubs team.

    Not saying this to insult Fernandez, but he's actually second behind Kershaw. This is really really horrible and I can't recall anything like it off the top of my head (a young guy at the top like that). Len Bias is the closest I can think of.

    Yes, this and the "Bears fans loathe Jay Cutler" narrative drive me nuts. I know there are meatballs out there that don't like Jay, but I would say 90% of Bears fans I know either like him or at worst are 'meh' on him. I'd say 90% is way high I've seen way too many instances of the stupid horsefeathering gun t-shirt -- that I can't believe was ever made or sold -- in the wild...

    I know we are looking at advantageous scenarios for the Cubs but how about a 3 (or 4) way tie in the AL East with those teams also tying for the WC spots with like Detroit Now you're talking. Just make the middle 10 teams of the league play every day for a week in tiebreakers.
