    That's kind of where I am, though Correa would be tempting. But you have a potential #1 pick sitting there at #6, it could be huge even if you have to wait a bit.

    Who would you guys say has the better stuff between Sonny Gray and Stroman? Just curious as I was reading a mock that said Gray, though I kind of assumed Stroman before I read that if someone asked.

    Theo says we've narrowed it down to 10 and are getting our last looks before holding some meetings. Says the draft is what occupies most of his days. Wonder if those 10 include guys who are probably gone like Buxton.

    I kind of found it funny how it was said that alot of the beaning had to do with Hammels trying to be the alpha male, testosterone, etc., and then Hammels went on for like 2 minutes proclaiming what a ridiculously amazing player Harper is going to be after he admitted to beaning him. I don't know about you, but if I peg someone i'm not going to compliment their ass after the game, let alone go on a detailed rant about their future greatness. That said, let's rename this the "Bryce Harper, Cole Hammels douchinesss but we still want their ass on our team thread"

    Actually, and I may very well be in the minority, but I think they'll end up better than last year. Granted, I don't think they're a .500 team, but I do see improvement happening. I could see 74-75 wins. I think people underestimate how many late leads we blew. I mean Marmol blew 10 games for us in the 9th. Combine that with some injury problems, and essentially being out of the division race ridiculously quick, and there's probably a few more wins we lost there due lack of motivation/preparation from being out of it so early.

    Based off of one photograph and a whopping two scouting report blurbs, would Jayson Heyward maybe be a similar minor league comparison?

    Yes. Oh yeah. No clue when he even becomes available. Same for the rest of the 30ish Cubans waiting to be signed as well. I guess they'll just trickle in at different points. The Yankees signed a guy yesterday for instance. They all have different timetables and my guess is we'll hear when Soler and maybe Rivero and Luis are cleared, but not the rest. I would imagine that us hearing of this news means that Soler will likely be a free agent soon. Everything we heard suggested he was a few weeks behind Cespedes.

    Any time you can get a guy who would probably be the consensus top prospect in our system (if him ranking in the 10-20 top 100 range is true), without giving up a draft pick, then you have to go all out for it. Let's hope.
