    Not sure it really matter at this stage. We know we bid, we just don't know who won. If Bruce knew, he'd break it. That's pretty much where we're at.

    He's the guy who supposedly has ties within our organization, right? Called all the draft picks and such? If so, why would Prince make that known to us? Seems like some lost leverage. yes that is him. Called draft prospects and other deals. Most recently had the kosuke prospects before anyone else and talked about penas deferred money a week before anyone mentioned it in media. I'm on iPod and can't copy link...     Psd insider (the one you can take it to the bank with) said prince wants to be a cub. I know we've heard rumblings before, but if he says it it's pretty much true.

    Does Soler play in the same league as Cespedes? Any way to cmpare their numbers (despite the age difference)? It's be interesting to see a side by side of numbers between him, Cespedes, and other notable Cubans in the recent past.

    Anyone else surprised by how we aren't even mentioned as a possible suitor for Darvish by many of the mainstream guys? I mean i'm not worried that we won't make a significant bid. But our interest seems like common knowledge by now IMO.

    This is one of those wait and see deals. Can't really judge it at all now. It's clear Theo's looking to stockpile a couple buy low guys and see if one can hit, though.

    I believe so. So 4 days from now we'll know the bid I would imagine. Not necessarily. His team has 4 days to decide whether or not to accept the bid. So, it could very well be 8 days before we know who won and for how much. Yes, but I believe his team has publically said, or at least inferred, they will accept the offer.

    What's this have to do with anything? Other than irrationally making Cubs fans scared of signing good free agents? Pure frustration. What I do not understand is if Ricketts gave Theo an open checkbook, why is he not making a serious play for either Pujols or Fielder? We have a glaring hole there. These guys help now and in the future. What makes you think he isn't? (More in regards to Fielder...as for Pujols, you can see where a 10 year deal might not be in the best interest)
