    MLB4u.com No way we sign him now with Soriano locked up... right? If you look at the link to Rosenthal, it says how we aren't pursuing him. Plus it's from a couple days ago.

    That's right, nobody likes 40 40 guys. we need walks. LOL In five years Alph will be 35 plus change. I agree with IMB. To be fair, Soriano is probably one of the most athletic, well conditioned guys in the game. It's not like we're talking about some unathletic guy who's always out of shape.

    Are you kidding? He could walk around wearing a "cuck the fubs" t-shirt for all i care, As long as he puts up numbers and the team wins, its all good. Or he could just be cool and wear a personal favorite of mine, a "suck the fox" shirt.

    I've read on another board that Kaplan also said that the Japanese team might think the BoSox offer is fishy (blocking another team or something), and might take the 2nd highest bid, which he said the Cubs would stand much more of a chance then. Did he mention this? 24 still wouldn't beat Texas or NY, but it gives us a little more hope.

    Yeah it has to be bogus. First he said it was on LA radio at the Cubs board, then he said on WGN radio on the Angels board. Oh well, still a good day. :D

    Checked the mentioned station and it was in fact LA's ESPN Radio (710 AM). The poster also had like 700 posts so it doesn't look like he's a random newbie troll. He also mentioned they said that it could be done by tonight, and that yesterday they said ARam wasn't coming back for sure so to take them with a grain of salt or something.

It also mentions that the Yankees won't submit their bid until about 5 minutes before the deadline (let's hope NY has a quick blackout for about 6 minutes tommorrow :D )

    Nope, he's a FA after '07 Wells is a nice player, but I don't like him for our circumstances. If Hendry made a play for him, i'm sure he'd plan on extending him during the season after last year's one year rental in Pierre.

    Before you get too excited, I have zero clue if this guy holds any creditbility. I was talking Bulls and this article about Carter came across the wiretap, and low and behold the author drops this little nugget in there. http://www.metronews.ca/column.aspx?id=16208&searchtype=1&fragment=False Obviously, a one liner like that might be the author pulling something out of his behind, but I thought I'd post it nonetheless.
