  1. why isn't everyone talking about how stupid the A's are for playing Eric over Murton??
  2. Orel Hershiser has also talked about how he told his pitchers in TX to throw the changeup inside and let the hitter hit it foul 400 feet, then throw the next one 6 inches further inside and you've quickly got an 0-2 count.
  3. yeah but his arm hasn't looked strong for years. it wasn't throwing motion that was the problem, it was simply arm strength. i'm puzzled as to how he regained it. protein shakes?
  4. oddly it seems he's going to RF quite a bit of late, to the tune of long flyball outs. i was concerned in spring that he tried pulling everything and he might struggle when pitchers caught on pitching him strictly away.
  5. i actually like reading Brewer fans opinions question 1 jason kendall's throwing arm WTF
  6. we have the most runs scored in the NL and it's by a rather sizeable margin
  7. a 2.31 WHIP and .375/.448/.571 opposing hitters line in his last 15 appearances ewww
  8. oh ok then i wouldnt object to including Frank Castillo in a deal
  9. This would be nice. If they got Fuentes or Sherill I'd be scared. i'd be elated if they dealt useful parts for Sherrill and his 2.37 whip for the last month
  10. not to sound like an ass and maybe i'm misremembering, but who on Earth is Castilla?
  11. I beg to differ. Roy is definately worth 5-7 players HANDS DOWN. is Roy better than Rich Harden, who only cost 4 players (and Chad Gaudin came in the same deal?) Think about it dude Yes, Roy Halladay is much better than Rich Harden, he throws complete games like their going out of style. They are out of style. If Soriano is ok I wouldn't mind a shot at Roy but it's going to take a Kings ransome. If he's out there, I see the Angels being able to crush the Cubs in prospects. The Angels under no circumstance, ever deal their prospects. Miggy Cabrera was available for a decent price and who did they end up haggling over? Adenhart? I'm not worried about them whatsoever. But this trade is surely just a wet dream. But a real good one.
  12. if they've soured that much on Cabrera, it's a possibility but he's playing great defense and I doubt Guillen views him as a problem that needs fixing
  13. the Brian Roberts talk is all speculation; with Alexei's emergence I doubt they make any deals for Roberts
  14. i wouldn't pick up any of those 4 players from the waiver wire. he's 40 pts back of first, and i'm 8 or so. i wonder if i accepted whether the league would veto. probably, but it wouldn't be in their best interest.
  15. 4 starts in july 0.32 ERA 0.68 WHIP 10.6 k/9 .155 BAA i wonder if they could have used him in the Yankees series?
  16. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e382/harryddunn/tradeoffer.jpg
  17. the few times I saw McCutcheon play he reminded me of a faster Rickie Weeks with better contact skills. But with his bat speed and plate discipline, I think he won't take very long to adjust to the MLB level. you can just move McLouth over to RF, and have a really good young OF. i'd try trading Nady for a 3B though, i don't much like Neil Walker at all.
  18. move Aviles to put Pena at SS? why not just play German or Callaspo at 2B and Pena to the mound?
  19. well thats a curious choice of words
