  1. wow that was kind of a softy
  2. iirc, that happened when Kapler blew out his achilles in Toronto
  3. which is, an average baseball player
  4. i still wouldn't want Ibanez. he goes through streaks like this every year, a 3 week stretch where he hits out of his mind. and the 3 years or so the Phillies gave him, surrendering a 1st rounder? sick
  5. no DB has ever been drafted #1 2010 draft rankings: http://cfn.scout.com/2/856941.html
  6. i still can't get over it. you have a franchise LT in Oher and DT in Jerry fall in your laps at 20 and you opt for a luxury position in TE. now they're still stuck starting Jeff Backus and Chuck Darby. Delmas would be acceptable if they didn't already use 2nd rounders the last two years with Gerald Alexander and Bullocks. so now Paris Lenon stays put. a team ridden with pressing holes did virtually nothing to patch up any of them, save maybe QB. nasty.

  8. it rained yesterday, ha! shows what you know!
  9. good call what a bold stance to take, questioning his half-assed prediction after it's been proven wrong...
  10. http://bats.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/05/the-book-on-borass-clients/
  11. vitters' numbers scream "second coming of howie kendrick" which might be nice for a middle infielder, but not so much for a 3B. his numbers forbode a career progression stalled by injuries?
  12. the Ducks are down 2-0, but Hiller has really been the best player in the game. the Sharks are just manhandling Anaheim thru 2
  13. well i'm sure you'll love the Mike Mitchell pick
  14. Good gross or bad gross? if you're one of the worst teams in NFL history, you don't really have the luxury of spending a first round pick on a TE and Delmas is a gambler. Jerry/Oher/Vontae Davis and Mauluga would have been so much smarter.
  15. Pettigrew and Delmas is just a gross haul from those picks
  16. lol good one http://i39.tinypic.com/dh8oiv.jpg
  17. big break for the flyers there
  18. eh, just give me Josh Freeman i guess
  19. but i don't really see that either, Francis actually showed the ability to shoot threes early in his career and Rose hasn't so other than that Francis posted great steals totals, shot a decent amount of threes, got to the line more often, was a better rebounder and Rose has a better midrange jumper they're like peas in a pod
  20. Completely agree. I think Rose is early-career Steve Francis with a decent jump shot. That sounds lame because of how Francis finished his career, but would anyone be upset if Rose averaged 24, 9 and 6 for the next decade or so? if it comes with a sub-43% FG, yes
  21. you don't really have the abhorrent defenders in RF like you do in LF. it's really just Hawpe. i don't know how they're saying he'll be 7 runs better than his contemporaries in both RF and LF. i just don't buy any defense of his defense that doesn't use the words "compared to Adam Dunn and Chris Duncan". but even now where teams are using CF like Felix Pie, Endy Chavez and Frank Guttierez in the corners he should grade even worse. SALE
  22. in what universe is he a +7 fielder?
  23. and by playing half their games against the Nationals i said before the year they had a good shot at winning the division, but whatever accuscore has them as favorites for the division right now, fwiw
