  1. I don't get that at all. That's the sort of feeling you get a couple hours after the game...I'd be happier than a pig in [expletive] right now as a Michigan fan. yeah, that's pretty [expletive] dumb EJ
  2. including penalties, he's probably more than 100% of the total offense
  3. time to try a new punter
  4. Be concerned about Denard Robinson. Our RB's have about 14 yards combined so far and our defense is still scary. Plus, we're going up against Nate freaking Montana right now instead of Crist. a scary 17 pts allowed in 6 quarters
  5. Hahaha I forgot about that. Their players are as delusional as their fans. huh, i'm not sure i've ever met any Lions fan with a delusional sense of optimism
  6. OH [expletive] IT'S 4TH DOWN
  7. eh, this one's gonna be a push
  8. well that was quite the bastardization
  9. Stafford vs. Kolb 25 yds/pt; 4 pts per TD, so basically who's the better yardage guy?
  10. it might be a reaction to the unclear statuses of Delmas and Levy, maybe our two most important players on the back seven; after them it's a skeleton crew as it stands i have a lot of faith in Schwartz & co., and the talent they've accrued for the defense, but i don't think it'll fully gel for a few more weeks, so Cutler should have a pretty easy time with our secondary especially if those two guys can't play or are hindered
  11. i'm baffled by your bafflement Don Cooper has long wanted to work with Jackson and the early returns of their work together have been nothing short of fantastic
  12. Lincecum's in the top 10 for xFIP in all of baseball, ahead of both Oswalt and Hamels are they really worse off with Hudson over Scherzer?
  13. who the hell is being ignorant of that, i just cited like a 75,000 word essay that explained in exhaustive detail the Coors park factor? why aren't all other Rockies putting up a 1.241 OPS at home?
  14. 31 for his last 59 (18 of which were XBH), good for a cool 1675 OPS over that span
  15. well, the offense certainly looks good today
  16. wow, Lions traded a TE they were expected to cut for Alphonso Smith, who Denver spent a first round pick on last year
  17. T.J. Houshmandzadeh got released, i can see Carroll becoming the reincarnation of Spurrier the Broncos also cut Jarvis Green six months after giving him $20M, complete lunacy
  18. seems like it'd be easy to stop a team that can't throw over 10 yards downfield, but fortunately Conn isn't having any success with it
  19. hardly he's actually in the top-10 for all of baseball in frequency of doubles & triples hit. he's not hitting HR yet, but he's a skinny 20 year old, give it time. what's important is he's definitely showing a real XBH ability coupled with a high contact rate. he's awesome.
  20. BtBS also had a write-up on his accomplishments so far (albeit using pretty arbitrary criteria)
  21. Avril's looked awesome in the preseason, i think you'll see him in the backfield a bunch. the whole DL play should be really strong the back seven's pretty gnarly though, which isn't helped at all right now by nagging ailments to Levy, Delmas and Wade's club hand
  22. i don't think they have much of a choice, with Butler sticking at 1B and Myers probably slotted for DH
  23. i think it's gotta be Moustakas
  24. of course Cargo's doing dismally on the road, there's the constant adjustment of facing fastballs with movement after being spoiled by the Coors effect of straightening out fastballs. it's impossible to say for sure whether he'd be able to adapt in a totally different hitting environment, but it's ignorant and lazy to quickly dismiss what he's done as a Coors fluke (Holliday's putting up a .900 OPS yet again) this study does a fantastic job of summing up the Coors effect
  25. i'm a big KF fan, but i think it also has to be considered that he's been shielded from quite a few of the better lefties we've faced this year
