  1. sadly, Sanchez has actually been the more accurate of the two QBs in this game
  2. Rob Ryan had said before the game his defense works “against better receivers (than Calvin Johnson) with Miles Austin and Dez Bryant” every day in practice Jim Schwartz leads off his presser saying "I'm glad Dallas' third best reciever plays for our team."
  3. omg i just came
  4. ho-hum, another 2 TD game for Calvin.
  5. YESYESYES
  6. awful awful awful penalties
  7. i'm really not sure...sportsmanship?
  8. Calvin's triple-covered, f it let's just throw to him anyway
  9. STOP JUMPING OFFSIDES COREY WILLIAMS
  10. Houston!
  11. we don't look very good today. edit: Carp!
  12. he's a work in progress when facing pressure; he's hearing Ware's footsteps
  13. glad i started Dez Bryant, at least
  14. i love it when teams try to run up the middle on us on 4th down
  15. not really my boys, i just cited an objective measure of his performance; i could have similarly used QB rating, PFF's grades, EPA/p to illustrate my point the same
  16. Hillis and...Bush, i guess; can you pick up Reggie Bush? Branch or McCluster?
  17. the Bears pass blocking has been pretty middle-of-the-pack so far, surprisingly they've allowed QB pressures on 28 of 179 passing snaps so far; compare that to Atlanta who've allowed 53 pressures in 193 passing snaps. if you want to argue that it's residual effects from last year's abysmal OL play, that's a more understandable possibility
  18. what does Cutler need to do then, to deserve any blame? he's supposed to be a franchise QB and he trails McNabb, Dalton, Alex Smith in DVOA and last year wasn't much better, also posting a below-average season behind other QBs who even lost their job due to poor performance
  19. i'd still go Grossman over Orton in that case, Grossman's averaging 281 yards as starter with WAS and STL might have the worst pass defense in the league
  20. Romo...but that Grossman matchup is tempting
  21. plan B: Ian Stewart
  22. i'm a big fan of Olsen this year, i'd probably drop Fred Davis and pick up Washington hold on Gates
  23. wouldn't that be a pretty heavy selection bias? if you're the 4th-highest scoring team, then the teams you've played will obviously grade poorly defensively, and if you can't score, the defenses you've faced will come off looking great i question @Tampa in 120° heat index and @Minnesota not being tough matchups
  24. oh, my http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/27/week-three-power-rankings-2/ i had been somewhat worried about this game because of Ware and Spencer and the horror-show Minny's DEs put on our tackles last week, but then i read that Calvin Johnson has as many TDs as Dallas' entire offense
