  1. Hillis and...Bush, i guess; can you pick up Reggie Bush? Branch or McCluster?
  2. the Bears pass blocking has been pretty middle-of-the-pack so far, surprisingly they've allowed QB pressures on 28 of 179 passing snaps so far; compare that to Atlanta who've allowed 53 pressures in 193 passing snaps. if you want to argue that it's residual effects from last year's abysmal OL play, that's a more understandable possibility
  3. what does Cutler need to do then, to deserve any blame? he's supposed to be a franchise QB and he trails McNabb, Dalton, Alex Smith in DVOA and last year wasn't much better, also posting a below-average season behind other QBs who even lost their job due to poor performance
  4. i'd still go Grossman over Orton in that case, Grossman's averaging 281 yards as starter with WAS and STL might have the worst pass defense in the league
  5. Romo...but that Grossman matchup is tempting
  6. plan B: Ian Stewart
  7. i'm a big fan of Olsen this year, i'd probably drop Fred Davis and pick up Washington hold on Gates
  8. wouldn't that be a pretty heavy selection bias? if you're the 4th-highest scoring team, then the teams you've played will obviously grade poorly defensively, and if you can't score, the defenses you've faced will come off looking great i question @Tampa in 120° heat index and @Minnesota not being tough matchups
  9. oh, my http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/27/week-three-power-rankings-2/ i had been somewhat worried about this game because of Ware and Spencer and the horror-show Minny's DEs put on our tackles last week, but then i read that Calvin Johnson has as many TDs as Dallas' entire offense
  10. who said Simmons wasn't good with predictions?
  11. Thats basically how I'm looking at it. I made the trade, and now it gives me Stafford, probably a top 5 fantasy QB if he stays healthy. Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Vincent Jackson are 3 of the top 5 WR's from week to week, and I have Dez who if he can stay healthy should be a top 10 WR. Also have Jimmy Graham at TE who is going to be a top 5 if not top 3 TE this year. With all that on my team, I basically just need Beanie Wells, Frank Gore, Starks, or Addai to just give me decent production and I think I'll be in contention for a title. Also already been getting some offers for Dez who I could possibly turn into another quality RB. Was offered Jahvid Best for Dez but turned it down hoping I can do a little better later on if Dez has a couple good weeks. Best is already a top-10 fantasy RB right now, who exactly are you holding out for?
  12. the loss of Britt should help big-time, how could it not? they were forcing the ball to Britt due to his dominance, not they've lost that option and have to go back to feeding Johnson 25 times per week again i'm buying on him
  13. hey everybody, the Marlins don't think they can afford the $6M Ricky Nolasco, so let's trade the $14M Ryan Dempster or $18M Carlos Zambrano for him!
  14. not on the interior, but Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy are terrific at providing edge pressure; this is definitely the game to try running more- Carolina's DTs are woefully bad
  15. isn't 5-10 yards for guys who probably run 4.5 40's at most just one second? in the video you see the flag before Knox has even caught the ball
  16. this one's a little better, you can see Bush's body being pulled back somewhat; kinda ticky-tack, but not the most egregious reffing error ever like it had originally appeared http://imgur.com/a/MLKx2 (spoiled for size) was an ingenious play call by Toub, though
  17. just wait until the Lions get consistently screwed on calls when playing GB. then I'll point out how "stupid" your comments are. yeah, i always make a complete ass out of myself when that happens exhibit a viewtopic.php?f=44&t=58233&p=2501927#p2501927 so the one time the Lions got ass-fucked on a call you held your temper? ok. I stand corrected. we were the 4th-most penalized team in the league last year (Bears: 19th-most), so it stands to reason there were myriad questionable calls that i was able to resist raging like a psychotic meatball over

  19. [expletive]. i want this game [expletive] reviewed. they gave every call to the packers they could on the bears' home field. aren't you supposed to get calls on your home field? This is gold. Hester had seen a bug on Shield's facemask and admirably, emphatically tried to swat it to ease his sensibilities, i tell you What did Shield's see on Hester's facemask that he tried to swat. gotta look in the eyes, not the nose

  21. do you guys really believe half of the dumb [expletive] you say, like this?
  22. oh, was that ever a most enjoyable 2nd half
  23. Trent Dilfer sure does love him some Matthew Stafford http://www.freep.com/article/20110922/SPORTS01/110922053/ESPN-s-Dilfer-Stafford-Looks-like-Rodgers-
  24. i'm ready for Wile edit: i suspect that's the last we'll be seeing of Hopkins for quite a long time; guy's a fumble machine
