  1. Cutler has the best receiving RB in football, whom has greatly boosted his passing numbers Freeman's receivers have dropped the 2nd most passes, and he's had the most spikes DVOA, EPA, WPA, success rate all favor Freeman over those two (Sanchez is hideously awful and not comfortably better than any other QB with reasonable job security) no
  2. eight other teams' OLs have allowed more pressure than the Bears, including Tampa
  3. by most objective measures, Freeman's still been better than Cutler and especially Sanchez this season
  4. hahaha, Brandon Weeden just pulled a Dan Orlovsky...
  5. we were outplayed and i won't argue to the contrary, but my god, MSU showed an abhorrent lack of class http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM18sAZRnIU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhbZoU4w-Xo
  6. fat David Wells maintained effectiveness into his 40s i don't know why weight is supposed to be such a big concern for a pitcher, especially when it's easier to have faith in their frame withstanding the strain they'll put on their arm; he'd also provide more value with his bat than most all other NL pitchers i can't really think of many safer bets in pitching for the next 6 years than CC
  7. Wow, that really is an insanely small front office. now look how large Boston's FO is, particularly Baseball Operations http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/team/front_office.jsp?c_id=bos though the Assistant Director/Florida Baseball Operations does have a rather unfortunate name
  8. Aaron Curry traded to Raiders for '12 7th rounder and conditional '13 pick
  9. the Crawford deal was bad mostly because so much of his value is predicated on otherworldly defense, which is heavily negated by playing in Boston's miniscule LF
  10. http://i56.tinypic.com/24od7x4.png
  11. Theo's been fairly lousy in FA, but I have to wonder if he's at times been overruled by Lucchino, like Cashman had so often been by the Steinbrenners the Crawford and Lackey contracts especially come to mind. he was letting Pedro, Lowe walk and preaching fiscal responsibility, it just doesn't make much sense that he'd so radically change his outlook
  12. something else about Pedroia, he was absolutely godawful the first 50+ games to his career and despite the fans' protestations they kept him in there
  13. fwiw 2009: (1) Matthew Stafford, QB - Starter (1) Brandon Pettigrew, TE - Starter (acquired in Roy Williams trade) (2) Louis Delmas, S - Starter (3) DeAndre Levy, LB - Starter (3) Derrick Williams, WR - not on team (acquired in Roy Williams trade) (4) Sammie Hill, DT - backup (5) Aaron Brown, RB - not on team (acquired in Roy Williams trade) (6) Lydon Murtha, T - not on team: claimed by Mia off PS (7) Zach Follett, LB - retired: injuries (7) Dan Gronkowski, TE - traded for Alphonso Smith, CB - backup (7) Shaun Hill, QB - backup (acquired via trade) 4 starters, 3 backups 2010: (1) Ndamukong Suh, DT - starter (1) Jahvid Best, RB - starter (3) Amari Spievey, S - starter (4) Jason Fox, T - backup (5) Rob Sims, G - starter (acquired via trade) (5) Tony Scheffler, TE - backup (acquired via trade) (5) Corey Williams, DT - starter (acquired via trade) (6) Chris Houston, CB - starter (acquired via trade) (7) Willie Young, DE - backup (7) Ko Simpson, S - not on team (acquired via trade) (7) Tim Toone, WR - not on team 6 starters, 3 backups 2 drafts: 10 starters, 6 backups - i'd term all but Spievey as above-average starters (our weak spots are mostly old hold-overs [e.g. Backus, Cherilus, Raiola])
  14. Except ND is that 40-year-old in the club that used to be hot, but hasn't really been that great since 1993. And EJ is the guy that can't take his eyes of her, will have a buddy ask for her number, publicly declare he's too good for her when she shoots him down, and then go home and rub one out fantasizing about her. No, I'm the guy who's taken her home a few times and just tired of seeing her. I'm tired of playing ND every year and tired of hearing speculation of ND coming to the Big Ten. I want them to go to the ACC so we can stop hearing about them. i like our annual ND win
  15. wow, people were actually serious about trading Castro for Votto?
  16. the 49ers run D is very good, but they have terrible cover safeties and a poor OL in pass protection; sounds like the kind of team we should fare well against (and actually just did) i feel pretty good about our chances
  17. i'd do it, but the Rays are probably intelligent enough to realize how useless Vitters is
  18. Does Finley have a history of dropped passes? Cause I searched and couldn't find much stats. He doesn't seem to have any drops this year. Seems like this game was more of the exception than the rule he's been one of the most sure-handed TEs in the league for his career
  19. wow Seahawks
  20. i like that Darrius Heyward-Bey has honored Al Davis' memory with a 100-yard game today
  21. my favorite is the colley
  22. Cam's so much fun to watch
  23. Moore Best, Ridley, Manningham Williams
  24. i wouldn't, even for a second keep Castro and just sign Fielder instead; you'd only get 2 years of Votto for relatively cheap before having to extend him to a similarly huge contract anyway
  25. ready to part with Castro? yeah i didn't think so
