  1. They're probably thinking: "once you get past the hype, the bigx really is overrated." hey, we've got 2 of the top 6 teams in college football!
  2. i dunno, Matty McLovin looked pretty good against us last year...
  3. Miami will have a lot to say about that. I only see two remotely winnable games on their schedule (Denver and Kansas City), which is much more difficult than that of the Rams. The Fish are headed for 1-15 while the Rams will pull out 2-3 wins, at worst. there's a 1% chance that happens; albeit still more likely than snayke's usual sniveling prediction du jour
  4. Fister's just awesome and i just absolutely hate watching Brett Gardner play baseball Cano is basically who we're hoping Castro becomes
  5. even with his bat, Ramirez wouldn't have been a very valuable player, at 1B the comparison is laughable though, take a minute sometime to look at Ramirez's MiLB numbers
  6. yay, Vitters' numbers will be artificially inflated and he'll still be worthless
  7. they've said game 1 was Moore's only start for the series, so it'd probably be Shields with everybody but Price available
  8. i'm so glad none of our fans ever make dumb ass jokes like that
  9. some hard-to-believe stats: The Lions are on a five-game road winning streak for the first time in their history. Overall, the Lions are on an eight-game winning streak, which they hadn't done since 1953-54. The Lions are the first team in NFL history to win back-to-back games by way of comebacks of 20 points or more. Before their five-game road winning streak, the Lions had lost 70 of their previous 78 games away from home. The Lions won eight of 55 games from Week 7 in 2007 to Week 13 in 2010. Since then they have won eight straight games.
  10. amazingly, Alex Smith has out-produced Freeman, Rivers (ugh), and Matt Ryan so far; i think you've gotta go with him
  11. It's uncanny. See if you can scrounge up video of him doing the "IT'S INCOMPLETE" thing to dez bryant on sunday. He actually might be autistic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYgKd17eNbM&t=32s i don't know what's got into him lately, he's oozing swagger and talking [expletive]; at the end of the Vikings game he told the refs " ", vividly shouted " " to them during his fist pump it's a pretty recent development, the last two seasons he was pretty mild-mannered
  12. don't know how a guy can save 50 straight and still inspire dread to watch, but Valverde somehow does it
  13. you see, Bri'onte? it's not worth it, do what your heart is telling you is right
  14. Flores only has an awful BB rate, whereas Lake has an awful K rate to go with his an unfathomably awful BB rate
  15. YES my name still maintains its relevance
  16. Pettigrew = Droptimus Prime
  17. man i love old clips like that personal favorite:
  18. that Seymour hit was shades of Charles Martin, true American hero from what i caught of the Steelers game yesterday and watching their SNF game vs. the Colts, their OL might even be worse than the Bears' OL was last year; if Big Ben wasn't such a wizard for escaping pressure, they'd have gaudy sack totals (well, more so than they already do) that's really going to torpedo what they try to do on offense, and if i had more faith in the AFC fringe teams (Tennessee, maybe?) i might even predict they could miss the playoffs
  19. the Dallas game: it was Stafford's "homecoming" (he had 25 members of friend & family at the game) and he started really jittery and atypically inaccurate. Dallas repeatedly ran the same WR routes to great success and in the 2nd half we finally started jumping them for INTs the Vikings game: MIN got away from Peterson and we made adjustments on offense to Allen & Robison's terrorizing of our tackles by running quick passes to Pettigrew and screen passes
  20. our run defense isn't as good as you'd think, especially from the DL; they're coached to penetrate into the backfield and harry the QB without much regard for gap assignment and hope that the awesome Steven Tulloch can shed his blockers and still make stops. KC and MIN put 151 and 132 yards on us, respectively- both also used end-arounds to great success i'm really psyched for what should be Fairley's pro debut
  21. It's nice for rankings when all but 3 quarters of your season has been played against [expletive] teams. Yeah, it's too bad we don't get to play ND every game. Agreed. Then you'd be 2-9. you must be projecting a lot of...turn-around...from your secondary
  22. is Sanchez blindfolded?
