  1. Peyton & Brees are the only 2 QB i'd entertain the idea of benching Stafford for
  2. Trent Richardson has rushed for 250 yards on 88 carries (2.8 YPC) for the Colts other Colts RBs have rushed 492 yards on 95 carries (5.2 YPC) enjoy that 1st rounder, Cleveland
  3. check your PMs, i won't try to bore these other people
  4. i basically quit sports talk radio a month or so ago; all podcasts for me now
  5. ugh Borges can't be fired fast enough (he won't be)
  6. Hoke's fine, but if (OC) Borges sticks around i'll be apoplectic
  7. these two kickers are going to develop a complex
  8. Yeah probably going to need another great performance from Tillman on Johnson. Peppers is going to have to get a pass rush going Detroit will be starting 2 rookies on the right side, both backups unlike the Bears' right side. And somebody is going to have to tackle Bush for a change (looking at you Bostic and Wright). who are the backups? Warford's started from day 1 and Waddle (lol) has overtaken Fox as the starter
  9. We can't take too much from his AFL numbers because of SSS, but they carry more weight for me because they line up so well with what he did in KC this season. His Low-A OPS - .841, AFL - .839. And the fact that he's 19 tells me he has a greater likelihood of carrying this type of production forward as he progresses into the majors. If in 2-3 years, the Cubs can have a GG caliber CFer hitting .290/.340/.460 that has great bat control and seemingly would make a prototypical two hole hitter...I'd take it. that'd be a 5.0-5.5 win player
  10. that wOBA column ain't right
  11. hey what happened to the Rick Diarrhea thread
  12. it was pretty irksome they aired it on a 15-minute delay, but WSOP tweeted out immediately as it happened that Riess had won
  13. Smart Football ‏@smartfootball "Did you order the code red?" RT @dkurtenbach: Dolphins coaches asked Ricky Incognito to "toughen up" Jonathan Martin http://touch.sun-sentinel.com/#section/1204/article/p2p-78065907/ …
  14. i'm staying up to watch it in hopes i'll finally be able to see a person in a Lions jersey winning something
  15. Outside of Zimmer/Ventura... who would be considered as "high end pitching prospects" in the Royals system? I imagine Almonte could be considered as one? Maybe Selman, but I wouldn't consider him as high end. So lets go with this... Shark/Barney/Scheirholtz for Cain/Herrera/Ventura/Zimmer What do you guys think? that's kind of a no-brainer, but KC swapping Zimmer for Almonte seems a much likelier scenario
  16. it's crazy how much their season has turned around since getting rid of Cam & Rivera
  17. for his two seasons as a starter, Samardzija's in the top-20 in all of baseball for xFIP, better than that of Verlander, Shields, Zimmermann and a host of other proven frontline starters the descriptive stats don't reflect so well on him which explains pessimism about his value (it's certainly worth wondering why he's allowed a .306 BABIP when the other Cubs starters have allowed .277 BABIP), but the Giants just gave Tim Lincecum 2y/$35M, which shows some executives place a ton of emphasis on defense-independent pitching for projection
  18. i got 181, and i feel good having not missed any multiples; 2001 by far was the hardest year the only really regrettable misses:
  19. hahaha, awesome
  20. Chip Kelly's still got it
  21. Narduzzi vs. Borges is a snuff film
  22. ‏@nickbaumgardner Kentucky's ability to simply call a kid 3 months before a decision and wipe out years of recruiting is incredible. pretty much, what a drag
  23. You're the one saying that Castillo would have to be the lead piece for Stanton, right? What if Giancarlo were coming with Salty? it goes without saying i'd be on cloud nine if those circumstances actually played out, but the point i was making was that i don't see much point at all - with our limited payroll - to be selling on Castillo unless it's a 'make us an offer we can't refuse' situation like Giancarlo but that isn't to say i have any delusions the Marlins will actually scout him as a key piece in Stanton talks, either speaking of Price... "One assistant GM proposes that the Rays could trade David Price to the Dodgers for Corey Seager, Joc Pederson, Julio Urias and Chris Withrow, Peter Gammons writes" here, "One assistant GM" certainly means RJ Harrison
  24. i'll lose my [expletive] if we sign Salty
