How come you get all these crazy injuries in baseball and the only things you see in the NBA are broken hand/thumbs (usually from practice), knee injuries (from wear and tear of jumping over 10 years), and foot/ankle injuries (usually from wear and tear over years or stepping on someone's foot). Maybe a broken nose here or there too (but that doesn't put someone on the DL). I gotta think conditioning is a huge part of it. Baseball is way behind basketball and football in this area. The steroid era definitely increases the risk of muscle tears, as well, even if guys are off them now.
