    The Reds announcers are talking about how Harang is better than Big Z since Harang doesn't show his emotions on the mound. They drive me nuts since they seem to get it 80% of the time, and the other 20% of the time they're totally loopy.

    Well, there's an actual 10-year age difference between Soriano and Pie... Z's only 6 months older than Guzman so that was ridiculous.

    Bonds will be on trial for perjury and tax fraud by this time next year, IMHO.

    Yeah, that's not really natural. I don't think Clemens would still be playing if there was a test for HGH.

    I don't know why this isn't asterisked immediately... Bonds has admitted to using the "cream" and the "clear", which we know are steroids.     It was frustrating that we couldn't get any momentum going until Kerry took the mound. Soriano getting hurt sucked the air out of the ballpark.

    Glavine's getting every borderline call, pretty pathetic.

    It's the way the Cubs are losing. Left-handed pitcher....you might as well chalk up a loss. Yeah, and the old geezer Glavine probably isn't going to pitch more than another inning. This game is far from over.

    Actually this team is better or a wash with the the 2003 team at every offensive position except CF/RF (and CF is the only massive difference, once Lofton came over). Soriano is better than Alou was in 2003, 2007 Aram is better than 2003 Aram, and Lee is better than the bums we had at 1B in 2003. Theriot is better than K-Gonz and Derosa is better than Grudz. Damian Miller was offensively horrific in 2003 as well. I think this team's bench, once Ward is healthy is also a lot better. I think it's better than the 2003 team considering that and the strength of the bullpen (which was the achilles heel of the 2003 team) and better defense. The current team doesn't have the huge top of the rotation the 2003 team did, but I think Marquis/Hill/Marshall have been more consistent than Clement/Estes.
