  1. Bryant 1-3 with a 2B and BB Soler also with a BB but was 0-3.
  2. I'd like to know exactly what a .800 OPS in 2004 would translate to in this environment.
  3. Jackson perfect game folllowed by a trade, please.
  4. I personally love it. That said, over the next few years the Cubs would likely benefit from the DH.
  5. Joe Madden is a man after my own heart.
  6. Bryant HBP Soler HR. Just DO IT!!!!
  7. Castro is the 2nd youngest SS in MLB (Bogaerts), and is the best offensive SS under 29. He hasn't even entered his prime years. His value is ridiculous.
  8. Oh god bring up Soler and Bryant and let's go for it.
  9. Yeah, they called up Javy alone so he didn't have to share his moment. Now It's Soler's time.
  10. Javy better learn the name Kyle Hendricks.
  11. Hendricks going to spin a gem @ Coors.
  12. I know about all of Vogelbach's limitations, but he is 7th in the FSL in wOBA and is younger than all those ahead of him. Would like to avoid dealing him for Turner.
  13. Pederson's got to be up there Yeah, he's #6.
  14. What happens if Javy starts off in Iowa next year and has similar struggles early on? Do we think they will call him up in May with a .600 OPS? Would that even be a good idea? Id like to give Javy a chance to establish some momentum in Chicago. If he performs, let him start next season in the majors. If not, there will be no gnashing of teeth if he is back in Iowa. He was supposed to be up this summer. He has been killing AAA pitching for a while. Call him up now.
  15. Sorting the top prospects in baseball by 2014 OPS.... 1. Soler 2. Bryant 3. Gallo 4. Schwarber 5. Seager
  16. Been on for quite some time
  17. I actually think Soler will win at least 1 MVP in his career. I'm also going to say he breaks the single-season RBI record.
  18. Well, there's a nonzero chance that Snell becomes a viable 2 and his D is already superior to Martin. He could absorb minutes on the court with McDermott or Dunleavy without the D collapsing entirely.
  19. Exactly. We should also keep in mind that there is at least a small chance either Butler or Snell becomes a viable scoring threat. Having a two-way player at the 2 would be optimal. Getting a guy like Martin means Butler has to be on he floor with him, guarding the better opposing wing. The more I think about it, I'd rather wait until the deadline to see if we need help.
  20. Yeah, there's been a good bit of talk about the Bulls being the 3rd team the Love-Wiggins swap. If that trade went down (Dunleavy/Wiggins/Bennett/2 1sts to MIN / Love to CLE/ Martin to CHI).... Rose / Kyrie Martin / Waiters Butler / LeBron Gasol / Love Noah / Varejao Looks scary, though Kyrie, Waiters and Love are all abysmal defenders. CLE will also have to run that unit into the ground because...... Brooks / Lucas III Snell / Delladvedova McDermott / Mike Miller Mirotic / Thompson Taj / Haywood The Bulls bench has the potential to be the best in the league. What do you even say about the Cavs reserves?
  21. Yeah, I agree that McDermott isn't going to start. I was saying I hope he pans out and becomes a starter, in which case that roster is excellent, top to bottom.
  22. Almora now 1/16 with 6K at Tennessee. edit: really?
  23. Should let Hendricks get the double play. His last pitch was a good one.
