Only by Wuertz. Givin up 2 in 5 and then leaving with 1st and 2nd with no one out isnt lights out either. Would of been nice if wuertz closed the door though. Would have been nice if Marshall had been left in and thrown the DP ball to get out of the inning. It would also be nice if frogs had wings so they didnt bump thier butts everytime they hopped.

Not super happy that he just gets Wertz up and then goes and gets Marshall. Hope Wuertz is ready.

Seconded I'd like to say a walk scored that run and it helped that the guy had a little speed. If he doesn't get on base running fast to the dugout is of little value. If Pierre didn't have speed, a run wouldn't have scored in that at bat because he wouldn't have been on second. Therefore, speed got us a run. whatever. Lee would have drove him in anyway. However he scored he scored and lets make it a crooked nuber this inning!

He was a hot prospect when the Pirates got him from the Giants. Second or third start in the pirates system hello Tommy John. He hasnt been the same since.

Couldnt tell you but he makes ARam and Cedeno look better. It really is amazing how much better a good 1B makes the other infielders look. Thinking back to my early days of Cubdom watching Grace made Dunston look good.

TY Jim Hendry for fleecing the Red Sox!! Murton was a last minute throw in, but yeah, it worked out well for us. I thought that Hendry insisted the Sox add in Murton since we were giving up so many kids to get everyone what they needed for us to get Garciaparra.

nah. he did pretty good to get out of that with 2 runs. bases juiced, bay up and no outs. :shock: he even got the GB on Bay, but it just found a hole in the IF. just luck. With the bases loaded and no one out, after a run scoring single, the pitching coach absolutely must go out and settle him down. Obviously, it worked out well in this case, but it's pretty silly for him to just sit there in that situation. If the pitching coach has to go out and settle him down in that situation he needs to back to AAA. After a double or a bomb then that is a different matter. He loaded the bases, then gave up a run scoring single... I don't see how anyone wouldn't want the pitching coach to go out in a situation like that. It's his second major league start. Its me but I want to see that Marshall has a pair. He created his problem let him get out of it. he did rather well IMO for his second ML start.
