He hustles constantly, yells intensely a lot and is a good pro. Which apparently makes up for an utter lack of actual technical skill. He's also an unbelievable underdog success story. Unbelievable. Hard not to want to root for him. I find it incredibly easy to respect his hard work, his play with San Jose and appreciate that he earned a roster spot against amazing odds while simultaneously wanting him to play zero minutes in Brazil. The constant announcer fellating of him doesn't help. He has clear deficiencies in his game at the international level.
