  1. Speaking for myself, I like my Scouse footballers to be the kinds of people that go to the pubs after games and start barfights because someone turned off "A Groovy Kind Of Love". Also speaking for myself, Suarez flopping like a tuna in front of David Moyes last year after scoring more than makes up for his perpetual submarine impersonation.
  2. If Sturridge and Suarez would have bothered to pass the ball to each other properly (moreso Sturridge than Suarez; Sturridge played like a selfish idiot), then that game could have ended 5-2. No Henderson for 3 of their last 4 is going to hurt them. If I'm not mistaken, he'll miss the Chelsea game, which could be huge.
  3. He's beasting right now. Sharp. They have to replace Cooper and Gonzalez and Pineda, though. Cooper gives no help to Yedlin, Gonzalez is slow as [expletive] and moves like a donkey, and Pineda is just a bad fit with Alonso.
  4. LOLBarca.
  5. Mikey, wanting to keep the NT's great day going, scores.
  6. Yedlin did as well as he could have being constantly hung out to dry. Sigi never adjusted to the way Harrington would overload that side and leave Yedlin marking 2 guys, effectively. Cooper offered nothing tracking back.
  7. Cooper makes very, very bad decisions on the ball. If you are going to play a player with poor decision making skills, you should at least play Neagle and get work rate along with it.
  8. That was a hell of a game. Dempsey just took over after Neagle came in. Could have had 4 goals and 2 assists. That second goal was classic Clint. Martens blocked 3 Sounders goals just from getting in the way. He was their best defender.
  9. I just thought it was a dick move for Rick Pitino to be literally shouting instructions to Minnesota players while his son just stood there like a sucker.
  10. No, for the reasons TT outlined and because Andrew Hauptmann makes @PoorTomRicketts look like a Rockefeller.
  11. I'd bar my dad from coming to any more games if I were Pitino's kid. I was embarrassed for him.
  12. That offside call was horseshit. Positive outings from Bradley, Besler, Dempsey and Zusi. If Omar keeps making glaring mistakes like he made last night, we're going to end up with Goodson starting in June.
  13. Yeah, definitely looking forward to it. Tonight will be the first time under JK that Jozy, Dempsey, Donovan and Bradley have been on the field at the same time. And I'm also an idiot, since Jozy is still in England, and somehow I forgot this. Also, this lineup sucks. This is a fricking friendly, and Brad Davis and Tony Beltran are starting over Donovan and Yedlin. Or Green. Stupid. Stupid stupid stupid.
  14. Yeah, definitely looking forward to it. Tonight will be the first time under JK that Jozy, Dempsey, Donovan and Bradley have been on the field at the same time.
  15. No, she's definitely Queen of the Harpies.
  16. Huh. Not only is the blue wrong, the shade of red looks too bright, too.
  17. That thing is hideous. Aside from it being the wrong shade of blue, it just looks stupid. So we have the choice between golf shirts and bomb pop kits. Awesome.
  18. Vasquez is getting shuffled to the youth sides, since he knows how JK wants things set up ahead of Olympic qualifying, and Ramos was doing a piss-poor job. So basically Ramos got reassigned to carry cones and balls around, and Vogts probably represents a net upgrade in terms of scouting and preparation, since Vasquez is terrible.
  19. They looked good today - they need Man City to drop points though. Technically, they don't. If Liverpool win out, they win the league. But, in all likelihood, that won't happen and City dropping points will be required. The City/Liverpool game coming up will probably decide the league. I'd love to see Liverpool win. Out of all 3 contenders, they're by far the most fun to watch.
  20. It was completely predictable and I called it before the season started. You can't sell your top 3 scorers, bring in like 6 new players to integrate and fire your manager and expect to be a contender. Bale masked a LOT of flaws in that team. Levy's probably more of a problem than what you have on the field, though. The guy needs to pick a path/manager and stick to it.
  21. RSL is consistently the most enjoyable team to watch; their midfield just clowns people. If Morales can stay healthy they'll end up in the final again.
  22. I can buy that they'd fans of international soccer because of how much easier it is to follow now, but that they'd turn to a garbage product like MLS is just sad. I love international soccer in terms of national teams much more than I love watching MLS, but MLS is a lot better than it was even 5 years ago at the top end. I really enjoy watching certain teams and certain matchups. The bottom end is still pretty bad; I can't debate that.
  23. 1/10 you are definitely not authorized to rate jokes I just did. 1/10 it is. You're not on the list.
