  1. I can't stand most of the Brewers, but I must admit I am slightly happy for Ben Sheets right now. Ryan Braun, on the other hand, can go scratch where he can't bite.
  2. I think it'd be Maddux. Then we're going to clinch in Game 4.
  3. So we have: Lowe v Dempster Billingsley v Z Kuroda v Harden ? v Lilly Ethier and Manny would be the two guys to watch out for, I'd think.
  4. I think we win in 4, but we lose Game 1.
  5. I hope Milwaukee finds a way past Philly and we survive the DS so we can piss all over Ryan Braun.
  6. I'd rather have Wuertz and take the chance he walks a guy, and know that he doesn't get hit very hard over a guy who's been throwing BP for 6 months.
  7. Gooz can fill CC on what Tommy John surgery feels like. I'd love to see him own tomorrow.
  8. I'm not going to lie. I'm a little more than annoyed at Milwaukee now.
  9. How deep are they playing? That's twice now that he's hit popups and had them drop. That ish isn't Cedeno's fault. That's on Johnson and Pie.
  10. Ryan Braun is such a giant d-bag. Does he really think Marquis was trying to drill him? Watch-Fielder is going to hit one out, and then they're going to run their mouths, and there's going to be some ruckus.
  11. Arsenal just got Hull'd. 1-2 at the Emirates. I love it. WTF is with the EPL this year?
  12. This has Galaxy written all over it when Landon moves to Munich. It also has disaster written all over it too. What about Landon to Bayern doesn't have disaster written all over it? And I thought Anelka was way, way older than 29.
  13. I can complain about it because I don't give a rats ass about the nostalgia/old timey happy fun memoryness of day baseball at Wrigley. I care about 75% of the fanbase being able to see the game without having to miss work. I care about me seeing the game without having to miss work. It pisses me off. It's bs that the biggest ratings draw will likely be on at the worst possible time. I don't know how it can be nostalgic when they play over 1/2 their home games in the afternoon. I'm happy they are in the playoffs, home field throughout the NL portion and have a better team than any of the previous playoff appearances. So what if it's an inconvenience for you, if you really want to watch it, you'll find a way. I'm going to give you a pass because of the "Sunny" quote in your sig, but come on. Playoff games shouldn't be on at 12:30pm. And if it were just some small subsection of the fanbase that this was going to affect, and I was part of that, fine, but putting a game on at 12:30 isn't just a crap thing for me and like nearly every other fan who's a typical 9-5 office loser, but it's a dumbass business decision by TBS, because they are guaranteeing the worst possible ratings for their best possible draw. Yeah, it is a bad ratings decision and sure I wish it was on at a more accessible time. The comments just went a little overboard and Ithought a little perspective was in order. If, at the worst, you're stuck with listening to Pat & Ron and following along on the internet, that's far better than listening to any moronic broadcast team we get from TBS or the endless commercials for whatever TV show they are promoting. I'll take pictures on mute over radio and no pictures any day.

  15. I had been planning on taking a personal day or two coming up, but I don't think I could pull both wednesday and thursday off without people pissing and moaning. 1:30 is just ridiculous. the 3pm one is at least sort of passable, as it's toward the end of a workday. EDIT: Those times were EDT. That start is 12:30 central, which is dumber than making Frostwyrm Obama's bodyguard. this is a disaster as far as i'm concerned. jesus christ. Pretty much. Homefield, best team in the league, and most of us will miss the first 2 games because MLB decided to give a 2nd rate superstation 1st round exclusive rights.

  17. angry refugees burn down your place of business? 9.8 really? degree of difficulty was relatively low with that one But degree of awesomeness and accuracy was high. Tree grabbed the opportunity and ran with it, which is what champions do.

  20. That's hot ass. This is the 2nd year in a row TBS has pulled some wank schedule out. They need to not be broadcasting baseball, like, ever. It's gonna rock to miss games 1 and 2 because I'm sitting at my desk listening to my moronic co workers piss and moan about everything.
  21. His peripherals make him David Eckstein.
  22. Are the meatballs ready to finally see how much Orton sucks now? Or will they do what they know and boo Rex?
  23. 30 shots with only 6 on target? impressive. Stoke are pretty awesome.
  24. Mexicans and Puerto Ricans don't get along at all. So that's one difference. Plus the whole "completely different country and culture" thing.
  25. I don't see how anyone could say that Bears fans aren't the worst in the city. It's not even close. Between the idiots that call into shows complaining about "fire and passion" and crap like that, and the ones who think Rex Grossman sucks and raped their dog, and the ones who think Lovie Smith needs to be more like Ditka, and talk with authority about the game and preface their statements by saying "I've been a fan since 1951" or "I played left guard in pop warner and Garza is playing too upright", it's a complete orgy of idiocy. Baseball fans on both sides of town have their Morgan-esque tendencies, but every moron has an opinion on football.
