Robbie Rogers has the potential to be viciously good. I saw a ton of pace and skill. He was the one player out on the field that looked like he should be in Europe. Crew Stadium must be like Mexican kryptonite, btw.
I recognize that paying the man is not the logical move. That said, I'd have paid him and tried to make the necessary upgrades more creatively (Grienke, Hermedia).
If Wood wants a multi-year deal at big money, we absolutely should not resign him. Letting him go is absolutely the right move given what he is almost certain to command. Millions and millions of dollars to relievers FTL. Aside from the fact that I feel that Wood would be one guy you should be willing to pay his ducats to, regardless, you can't tell me that there was no way to figure something out.
Columbus downed the Fire 2-1. However, that was a really, really good MLS game with a great atmosphere. Well played by both teams, I must say, although Blanco and Rolfe were horrid. And I must say, I like this Robbie Rogers thing Columbus has.
Expect he was only one of those three in last years second half and that was old. He didn't even look old when he threw 7 shutout against us. But Randy Johnson could be 60 and require a cane and still shut us out. Don't be fooled by how he looks against us, and don't be deluded into thinking he's going to take some incentive-laden deal. Randy Johnson likes his dolla billz. He's going to want a decent sized deal. And he's been hurt, too.
I think the bet's a push. Rex was really rusty, as you could tell by some throws he'd usually make which were way off. But he didn't kill them, and produced all 14 points. Forte won the game, though.
I'll take that bet. How much? Something creative 37 bags of skittles Done. Terms of the bet? I would propose that if the Bears lose because their defense is a sieve, it's a push. If they lose because Rex plays like hot ass, you win. If they win and Rex plays like hot ass, push. If they win and Rex plays well, I win.
