    Hourly + radar looks like a window would open up in the 1 oclock hour (locally). It's only supposed to be about .3 inches of rain total in the afternoon, so the field can hopefully drain. No heavy rain until 10pm after that, so even if there's a delay or two in between, I think a full 9 can get fit in.

    I have to think Maddon is playing to the roster with pulling the starters early. It's seems he's trying to limit innings whenever he has a lot of relievers available and the pitcher has gone through the order 3 times already since it's the best opportunity to do so. He made comments about saving players for the postseason when talking about the benefits of having three catchers, so that leads me to suspect the long-term workload is always part of his calculus.

    It looked inside even with the camera angle. Gameday had it a good 6-8 inches off.

    Wow, 1-1 is a better result than I could have imagined. I completely forgot the match was this week with all of the Cubs buzz. Thank goodness they have Kronberg to fill in for the suspended Bush. Dykstra's performance against Alajuelense for DC United is still a bad memory when it comes to backup MLS goalkeepers. Olympic Stadium sold out (59,000) for the final in Montreal.

    A poll doesn't mean they ask everybody who ever goes to a game. The stretch guest might be something appealing for the casual fan while the season ticket holder is ambivalent.
