Getting within 6.5 would definitely make this race seem close. One of my favorite games from 2003 was when the Cubs were 5.5 GB in late July and trailing late in Houston. I'd rather go with Arrieta, especially if Lester would still require a David Ross start in an elimination game. If the scheduling requires Hammel to get the nod, that wouldn't be bad, either. I'm still holding out hope on the offense heating up in the 2nd half and making a run at the division.
