    It never did. Another of those stupid deals where Hendry just got rid of someone to get rid of them. What has Farnsworth done that has been so spectacular? It was a nothing trade...so what. He also would have left as a FA by now anyway so the fact that the Cubs still have one fairly servicable pitcher and one prospect with some potential trade value in the system to show for it actually seems like a plus for Hendry. We didn't get a serviceable pitcher in that deal.

    No, this is fielding a team filled with freshmen and sophomores against a more talented team. We're doing nothing different this half, it's just the shots aren't falling right now. Bruce has nothing to do with the struggles right now. That's what Iowa fans said for years with Tom Davis running the show.
