Sure, at just under 5. Yes, but the CL is very offense oriented I understand, but it's still not something to brag about. Why not? If the Cubs are doing something better than every single one of their peer group, they deserve some credit. What is more important? The actual number of the statistic itself or how that statistic compares to the rest of their peer group? When it comes to the frequency with which they're giving up runs, I would lean toward the number itself. I don't put a lot of stock in ST numbers, but just because everyone else is not good doesn't mean you should be satisfied with being not quite as bad.

So they start with a bunch of really good, young, and cheap OFs, overspend for overrated OFs in the offseason to make sure those young guys aren't helping the club as much as possible, and then bring in another guy who really isn't all that great at anything either?

The contract makes it seem like they expect him to be a regular contributor to special teams, at least. I read somewhere else that he resigned with the Steelers? I dunno, nothing on Bears.com about him. Does anyone know for sure? It's not in the article that was linked, so I dunno where that came from... From a trib article: "The Bears also signed former Steelers safety Tyrone Carter to a three-year deal estimated at $2.4 million with a signing bonus of $280,000, according to ESPN." espn.com still has him listed as unsigned.
