Ryan Theriot is not good enough to be a starting SS for a contending MLB team. There really isn't much else that can be said about that -- he is who he is. I don't think anyone here dislikes him personally or thinks he's the worst player to ever don a Cubs jersey, and that assertion is just plain asinine. If he does happen to do something good, most rational people see it for what it is -- that even a broken watch is right twice a day. You're allowed to appreciate anyone you like, and as long as Ryan Theriot wears a Cubs jersey, I wish him nothing but great success. The reality is that those successes are likely to be few and far between, and I like to be grounded in reality. It's foolish to assert that he's our best option for the position, and it's even more foolish to make a numbered list with inaccuracies and hyperbole.
