  1. I think Yeti now gets drunk and posts under a different user name...
  2. he hit a homerun once
  3. Ronny played a few times at 3B last season, and I believe he's been there this spring. Going to AAA doesn't automatically decrease a player's trade value. Patterson could still be a valuable trading chip for the exact reason you think Ronny can't be -- he'll be playing everyday at Iowa vs playing part time in Chicago.
  4. hey dude...do me a favor! stop making sense! There isn't a lot there that makes sense. Why can't Cedeno sub for Aramis? How does the lack of a Roberts trade mean Murton gets traded for nothing? Cedeno isn't losing his trade value by making the team. Patterson will not be "wasting" another year in the minors -- he would be there with or without the trade. I have no idea what Gallagher, Patterson, Veal, Ceda, and Hoffpauir have to do with the roster "problem".
  5. honky tonk badonkadonk
  6. yet another reason I don't read Entertainment Weekly
  7. Is that what the kids are calling it these days? I know a couple that refer to it as "playing playstation", and that's the first thing I thought of when reading that
  8. what has Ryan Theriot shown? absolutely nothing, so why not give a younger player who has put up terrific numbers at AAA a chance to improve the position? we still don't know what Ronny Cedeno will provide as he matures at the major league level. we know exactly what we're getting with Theriot. nobody is saying Ronny is the next ARod, he's an alternative at a black hole that provides potential for upgrade.
  9. he's been gone more than 5 years
  10. I was in Orlando for the first round (Venezuala, DR, Italy, and Australia) and also had an amazing time
  11. we are still talking about Marlon Byrd, right? Murton alone would be too steep of a price
  12. it's a good thing he chimed in, what with the accuracy he's displayed up to this point and all
  13. that's what I'd do as well
  14. you mean like this? http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c263/mgoedken/nsbberror.gif
  15. While Felix Pie has really crushed the ball in the major leagues, right? So I guess it's safe to assume he'll be horrible, too? As I said in another post, when the Chicago Cubs start playing the Omaha Royals - let me know. Cedeno raked in the minor leagues - why isn't he starting in front of Theriot? His minor league stats suggest he should... your post makes my brain hurt The arrogance by many on this board makes mine hurt. Pie and Cedeno have better minor league numbers - therefore it will just automatically translate to success at the major league despite what their past performances have shown us. I know so because numbers support my claim - despite what the actual play on the field suggests. Pay no attention to that.... Arrogance? There was nothing about your post that made sense. Pie and Cedeno have put up really, really good numbers in the minor leagues, and Pie was usually very young for his level. Ryan Theriot never put up really, really good numbers and was often very old for his level. Ryan Theriot has done nothing in the major leagues to have an everyday job handed to him, while guys like Pie and Cedeno have proven, based on their minor league numbers, that they deserve a shot.
  16. IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO GO, JUMP ON IT. Especially if Venezuela's one of the teams -- their fans know how to have fun at a baseball game.
  17. these are terrible choices, no vote from me
  18. it's very much too early -- he's barely through puberty
