  1. I’ve said this before, but I grew up in a deep red small town in rural Iowa. I was registered as a proud member of the GOP for many years after turning 18. I think 2020 was the first election where I voted a straight Dem ticket, and I’ll do that again and again going forward. A couple of the reasons that happened were the GOP has just completely lost me. But one of the biggest reasons was, while not participating in the politics thread here for years, I read it from time to time. There have been so many discussions over the years that opened my eyes to a perspective I never really intended to investigate on my own. I still get my fair share of GOP talking points from every direction in life, and all it does is drive me even further away. I am not a registered Democrat, but I am anti-GOP. I don’t know if there’s a “solution”, but sometimes just sitting back and listening (or reading) is the best thing you can do. Maybe you’ll learn a little from some of the smart people. If this message helps just one of the yutes out there, I have done my good deed for the year.
  2. They’re going to need about 4 more pitchers.
  3. The end of the first half for the Falcons was typical Arthur Smith. They got a first down and spiked the ball to stop the clock, saving their last timeout with 10 seconds left. Nobody bothered calling a play and they let the play clock run down to where they had to call their final timeout anyway. They’re a mediocre offensive play caller and average QB away from being like 12-3.
  4. I was about 150. The next hundred is a piece of cake. Large pieces. Lots of pieces.
  5. They said that about Lamar too.
  6. Art takes it to a new level.
  7. Speaking of Dom, I used to spend a lot of time in the Honolulu area for work. It amazed me how many people I met over the years that went to college in Nebraska. The bulk went to Creighton, but it seems like a silly place to leave the island for.
  8. I think every fan base is off on their ratings of every player. PCA alone might be too much for only Framber. He's a 3-4 win pitcher on the wrong side of 30.
  9. Probably unrelated, but...
  10. Yes, he gave up football a while ago, but he still has work to do. His command is lacking, but that's likely because he has a few less miles. His stuff is electric. I'm excited to see where he's at this spring.
  11. Arthur and Desmond are trying their best to make this more dramatic
  12. Tee Higgins just made an incredible play to tie things up in Cincy.
  13. Tom Ricketts got to 2nd base (over the shirt and bra) with his future wife in the bleachers when he was a much younger nerd. He’s our guy until we’re all dead.
  14. That Hairydicked Idiot
  15. That happened here too
  16. What the horsefeathers happened at PSD that left so many of you in bad moods all the time?
  17. It’s often worse.
  18. If you're talking about the instagram post, turns out the photo was from a few years ago.
  19. Didn't get to see a lot of football this weekend, but horsefeathers off, Patrick Mahomes. Dude was offside. "Fiery competitor" did not describe the fit he threw. Any other sport, he gets ejected or fined or something for that tirade toward the official. Then on the other side, and even worse, Von Miller gets arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman, and everyone is just cool with him continuing to play? Because it's a big game? Get your horsefeathers together, NFL.
