  4. For the record, I agree with you. There are people who traded for a R2 pick who did not use the pick they traded for. Heck, Rodelo traded for a R1 pick and said he didn't want it (before retracting and using it). I'll say that different managers place wildly different values on prospects and prospect picks. That all said, we were way behind the 8-ball this year. Valentine's Day is usually when rosters are due and the draft usually starts before March. Participation/attention to the drafts has just not been that great either. Maybe we'll give priority to anyone who doesn't get to make their 2nd round pick? I don't know how that would really work and frankly, it's most likely to be you, me, and Bob that get screwed out of picks here (b/c Bob is in Australia, so I'm guessing he won't even be online for another 6 hours).
  5. btw - did Fangraphs stop doing their top 200 prospects?

  9. He'd be my bet for MoY this year. Washington underperformed due to injuries and Matt Williams so they were already a prime bounce-back candidate. If they win 90+ games and make the playoffs, he's going to be pointed to as part of the reason why. Yep
  10. Ok, moving on to Dealers, then Pigeons and Quakers. If no one is still interested in this draft, we can kill it now as far as I'm concerned.
  11. He's just so much fun to read

  17. that was me making fun of nuts for never knowing prospects until they make the big leagues. given how many times the board goes to that well, i didn't think it'd be missed by so many people. or maybe this is just nsbb going on nsbb on itself since we love nothing more than to pick apart irrelevant parts of posts

  23. If it hasn't already been 24 hours, it's really, really close. As far as I'm concerned, you can go ahead with your picks and those that follow. Tim can jump in and make his pick whenever he's able.
  24. for fucks sake, one of the guys released is named kawasaki? just b/c only nuts & gum has ever heard of this guy doesn't mean his name doesn't give you some great thread title material.
  25. "final roster decisions" are you horsefeathering kidding me? you can't be bringing thread title heat for weeks on end and then just as the season is about to start, throw out a bp fastball like that, gooney. you looking to be the 26th man here or what? let's go.
