I'm not sure if this shows up in any of the Rules threads, so to make sure everyone is clear on drafts: 1. Only IFAs designated as available in the major league draft can be drafted there. All the others go into the prospect draft. 2. The prospect draft is the first time that draftees from the prior June's draft can be added to a team. After the prospect draft, you can freely add/drop minor league players (except draftees from this coming June and IFAs that are signed after the draft starts). 3. Other than draftees from the prior June, ANY player who has played in the majors in any prior year (even 1 pitch or 1 PA) can be drafted in the major league draft. So if there's a hot prospect who got a cup of coffee last year, Tim will probably draft that player in like the 5th round of the major league draft. I'm not sure if that's an exaggeration or not. Just be prepared as people seem to always be shocked by this. 4. Finally, the prospect draft is done offline in an NSBB thread. This will be my 4th or 5th year and I'm sure we will again have someone pick a player that's already been drafted. If that happens, the first team to draft the player still gets him, obviously, and the team that double-drafted the player can draft another player. If other valid picks have been made, then that's tough [expletive] for the double drafting team who must choose from the players who haven't been picked. Let's have an example: assume Player A gets drafted by Tim in R1 and later in R1 Steve also picks Player A. After Steve's pick of Player A, Adam picks Player B. Steve, realizing his idiocy, comes back and says "my bad, can I have Player B (that Adam already drafted)?" The answer will be "no you dumbass, that's your own fault. Pick someone else." Names have been changed, but this happened.
