that's shaky ground though. it's got to be tough to suspend a player and dock their pay if there is nothing there to go on. they were able to get ben because of the alcohol provided to minors thing. unless marshall was doing the same thing, or unless they can get him on something else, depriving him of pay for no other reason than the commissioner's hunch or for appearances sake, he'd have a very good law suit against the league. he could likely file some sort of injunction which would allow him to play and get paid until the matter is reviewed in court. I'd be shocked if the standard NFL contract language isn't broad/vague enough to allow them to suspend someone without a conviction.
