  1. Why is the draft weaker? Are players not putting up as many points or are more quality players exempt? It definitely seems weak, but I have no frame of reference.
  2. You should have let him slide to #3.
  3. My best offensive player is Mitch Moreland.
  4. I know. But I'm going to have a team of 15 SPs. Then we'll see who's laughing at whom.
  5. I made the pick.
  6. I can't access the cbs site from work and the draft room won't load on my mobile. Who can I send my pick to?
  7. Of course the cubs support him. His storing Braun's sample for 2 days caused it to grow testosterone and nearly got the best player on one of their rivals banned for 50 games.
  8. predicting failure /= rooting against i predicted failure all the time for guys like theriot, paul bako, hank white, juan pierre, glendon rusch, etc. that doesn't mean i was pissed when they succeeded or happy when they failed, though. if you were (while they were on the Cubs), that's kinda weird. There's nothing weird about it. Personally I do it as a sort of hedge. My preference is for the victory at any time, but if something bad happens I take solace that the piece of crap who screwed up is a piece of crap I want gone and hope that his failures will lead to his dismissal. I don't have it in me to stand and cheer against a Cubs player during their at bat/outing, but I can think in my head how easy it would be to accept their inevitable failures. There's plenty of opportunity to root for some terrible player to fail. I don't think any of us would have rooted against Theriot if he were up with the go-ahead on base with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. But I certainly wasn't cheering for him to for 4/4 with 4 weak singles every day from April to July in 2009 (too lazy to look up his last season with the Cubs, so I guessed).
  9. Yes please That would suck. if we're trading up it better be to take matt kalil. I don't actually want the bears to trade up for Floyd, I just want them to draft him.
  10. A kid with a good head on his shoulders does not transfer to a new school a few months before he is supposed to graduate from high school. Between this transferring and the whole commitment-day escapade, it's pretty obvious that this kid has some issues. He does have some issues. Two deaths in the family may have contributed to that. Look, no one's saying there aren't some concerns with Neal. But you're saying he's got character issues, which is a pretty big leap to make about the kid based on very little info.
  11. What does that have to do with his character?
  12. He enrolled at another school, right? Still, enrolling at another school with a few months left in his high school career can't make ND feel comfortable about his character. This is what ESPN was saying. If he is just transferring that looks a lot better, but what kid transfers his senior year with 2 months remaining. Plus just qualifing academicly with ND seems like it could be an issue. Though I though ND was always pretty thorough in that prior to offering. He wouldn't have had a LOI to sign if he wasn't qualified academically (obviously pending graduation). I don't know all the details but he's had some issues to overcome. Obviously I hope he's solid with ND and doesn't flake like others have in the past (looking at you shaq). I don't think transferring is any big deal as long as he graduates.

  14. Whichever one Brian Kelly puts in the deep end with an anchor tied to his feet, obviously.
  15. Well thats a touch misleading.
  16. You're the guy that plays the Don't Pass line aren't you?
  17. I'm thinking .315/.365/.480 .330/.400/.500 so, basically...he'll double in production and strongly contend for the MVP I already said he'd win the damn thing. What more do you need?
  18. Are you saying BH has a stash of funky cold medina laying around?
  19. Then your streak of being wrong in this thread continues unbroken.
  20. Shark wins 15 games.
  21. As I'm sitting here trying to think of a decent player on the team, my screen goes black. So yeah. Castro will win the MVP.
  22. bc you think safeties aren't valuable?
  23. Yes please
  24. Boy most people would have bet the farm against Harrison Smith being a possible R1 pick just 2 years ago. Chuck Martin saved his career.
