I replace Cain with Moreland b/c Cain left with a groin injury.

That argument only works if you don't have a computer at home. You can check daily before work and swap out guys that don't play or have a bad matchup. It takes less time than weekly changes do. If you're against daily changes for hitters are you against daily changes for SPs? I don't think it makes much sense to have different rules for SPs than all others. If I'm in the minority fine.

I don't have time to look at every player's schedule for a week at a time and pick the best matchups for hitters and SPs. So I'll do what I can but may well just not touch my lineup at all then.

I thought you just couldn't play guys that weren't on your team to start the week. My bad. Though I think his replacements scored negative points.

That's what I thought, but stitch said this. You can do whatever you want with your pitching staff as long as you don't exceed the max number of starts or have more than 2 relievers on any one day. I don't recall a change to the rules regarding RPs being discussed.

I added Arroyo b/c I wasn't going to get 4 starts this week. Let me know if I didn't apply the "anything to get to 7 (or 4)" rule correctly.

Thanks for volunteering..can you add RP to Brett Myers so I can add him as a RP? I thought we agreed to abide by the eligibility rules. When he becomes eligible as a RP, then he'll be eligible. we can't do this. you can't render brett myers a literally unusable player until he meets the RP criteria. that makes no sense. No, you do this. Perfectly reasonable approach with less interpretation and fewer arguments.

I think we need to clarify that this isn't illegal. We have enough confusion in this league without calling legal rosters illegal just bc you have some starting player spots empty.

Yeah, I don't think enforcement of the rules should depend on how busy Tim is and truffle's availability or willingness to step in. Is there not a more simple solution?

I can see how keeping track of offenses would be difficult. At the same time, if it's truly an accident (i.e., a start gets moved up and owner doesn't realize it before the game), then losing that start is a fair punishment. Going back and taking a great start from earlier in the week is an overly harsh penalty to me. I'm also basing this on the info in this forum which suggests that this only happens a handful if times each year. If it's a bigger problem, maybe a stiff penalty right out of the gate is warranted.
