  1. Apparently PCA can get to 95% of balls so I'm not real worried. 😜
  2. The real story is that access was denied only because it was a game day. ICE has apparently been staging in their parking lots on non-game days, so let's not allow the Dodgers to make themselves out to be heroes when they just told someone not to sing the national anthem in Spanish in the last two weeks.
  3. It would be pretty weird to have TJS for a shoulder problem.
  4. Go read the article Derwood. Geez. 😜 I don't love the idea of either and people smarter than me commented on why in that thread.
  5. Go look at the replay. The throw was to the outfield side of the bag and Busch almost got his arm taken off by the runner trying to make the catch. That ball needed to be further to his left and if it was, it would have been an out. I don't disagree with the ruling of it as a hit because it was a very difficult play, but Nico botched the throw. Go to 6:30 in this: https://www.mlb.com/gameday/777482/video/condensed-game-mil-chc-6-17-25
  6. That was a terrible throw by Nico. If he puts that a foot, foot and a half to Busch's left, he makes the catch and it's an out. Busch was in no man's land but he got to his spot in time and it was just a bad throw.
  7. Yeah, there's a good chance that's in the gap against a lot of other CFs.
  8. Yeah, Civale probably gets traded again assuming he doesn't suck and he gets to be a starter. There are worse things than spending a month and a half in Chicago during the summer and likely landing on a team that's at least decent for the end of the season.
  9. As said, much more of a "Hey, you guys take our guy we don't have a spot for and we'll take yours" from both teams. Sox have a backlog at first after bringing Elko up and Vaughan wasn't likely in theri plans going forward.
  10. I'll disagree with you on the assumption that Hodge comes back healthy and effective. I think they have enough late inning arms to finish games with some mixing and matching and I really feel like getting someone who can eat innings efficiently is going to do more for long term/playoff success.
  11. Psssh, if he was a real man he'd pitch that many innings in a season and a month like Bob Gibson. He's so ridiculously good and outside of the velocity there's nothing that really wows from a visual standpoint.
  12. He choked out his spouse, so yeah, he kinda does fit into that doing illegal things category. He's a trash person, so no thanks.
  13. I was about 80% sure that's what was going on because you don't go from nearly unhittable to awful like that unless there's something else going on when there aren't any other telltale signs like velocity drop or a sudden inability to throw strikes.
  14. The fastball location is problematic. He just has no idea where it's going to end up way too often.
  15. Luzardo has thrown 74 pitches and likely isn't going more than 5. The Phillies pen hasn't been good. I'm not sure why you'd say this.
  16. Eh, I really think this is a mental thing in the first inning. Go with an opener for the next couple turns and see if that makes a difference.
  17. This is one of the reasons I really can't complain about the Cubs announcers, be it Boog, Cohen or otherwise. Other teams have such bad announcers that what we get to listen to is like a symphony in comparison.
  18. I can say I was real happy he wasn't on the mound at the end of game 7.
  19. I was wondering when PCA was going to get a day off.
