  1. They should just send Cook out there to kick Wade in the knee to even things up a bit.
  2. Your typo amuses me, since that's probably where Ian should be.
  3. Is he becoming a guy to really pat attention to? I remember him showing flashes previously but being inconsistent.
  4. Haha didn't even notice that. My man card status is in doubt. IMO, that's a positive check mark on the man card since she's 12.
  5. So then no, you didn't play at a world class level. So you don't know how this will effect a guy playing the toughest position in the world against the greatest atheletes. Seriously dude, die in a fire, you have no earthly idea what the hell you're talking about. It's about getting back to the level you were at prior to the injury, regardless of what level that was. This line of argument you've taken on is completely worthless and you're wrong. I'm pretty sure your undying love for Deron has completely blinded your ability to reason in a sound manner.
  6. Isn't this regarded as a pretty deep WR class with a possibility of still getting a high value guy in the 5th?
  7. Is Yao-Lin Wang the guy who was closing in Peoria last year?
  8. Didn't look at the top of the page, read the article, then saw a couple others about Dantoni call Phil about coaching the Lakers and the Bucks blocking fans' view of the Heat. Thought, wait, is this an Onion article? Yep, paying attention is a good thing.
  9. What the hell? Those were probably written pre-draft. And Urlacher was 6-4, 260 coming out, and ran as fast as some DBs/WRs. Man, I thought he was closer to 240 when he was drafted but I just looked up his combine measureables and they listed him at 6'4" and 258. I thought he was a tad faster than a 4.57 in the 40 though. That doesn't seem that fast anymore, but when you're that big that's just hauling ass.
  10. I have a random thought on t why they took him in the 1st round. Since rookie contracts are 5 years for 1st rounders and only 4 years for 2nd rounders, they may have decided to grab him there to have an extra cheap year before they have to give him more money on that second contract. This is helpful especially if they're planning on letting him develop on the bench a bit before throwing him into the fire. May not be a great reason, it's still a reach, and I think they could have traded back a few spots and still gotten him in the first, but it makes it a little less awful.
  11. The average age of hitters in the MWL as of 2009 (the only number I could find) was 21.6. What's your point? He's in his first full season of pro ball and hitting well. Reason to be excited, yes. Reason to think he's going to become a future perennial .900 OPS guy, no. Quit hating everything. Might have to start calling you Kyle Jr.
  12. Just looked up his career BABIP numbers. He couldn't have been much more unlucky than he was last year. Doesn't look like he'll ever really be more than a .260-.270 BABIP guy, but last year he was like .219 with 19% line drives. He's lowed on LD% this year, so maybe if that normalizes a bit, the BABIP will come up to .260 or so and he can hit .275 or so. Not a completely lost cause, but I'm not terribly optimistic. Also, I can't imagine WSR is right about the approach thing with Stewart down in Iowa, but it would be nice if he is because he's just been terrible. Any reports from anywhere on how he looks or if he's having any issues?
  13. That will be a huge difference from recent years. Having competent bodies to compete for spots and having guys who can step in and not be completely worthless will be nice. Still a bit baffled by the pick though.
  14. Yeah, a trade down would have been a nice move there. Weird first rounders so far from the new GM. Not a fan.
  15. I prefer Star but I don't know that you can go wrong with any of the 3 DTs. Man, Gruden does not like Richardson.
  16. This is stupid that the game is on the NBA network that I don't get.
  17. As much as it's a crapshoot and we bitched about Hendry doing it, I really think a chunk of the budget for next year needs to be spent on viable bullpen arms. They'd be close to .500 if they could have just held on to some of these games late. I realize that's not the full solution, but it's such an obvious thing to fix and is without question the most frustrating way to lose a game. It would be helpful if they were scoring more than 2 runs in 9 innings as well, especially in a band box like GAB.
  18. BREAKING NEWS: Castro Walks!!!!!1111!!!!1111!11!11
  19. Wow, the Reds catchers are bad at throwing guys out. Haven't been paying much attention to how quick the pitchers are to the plate, but tonight they haven't even really been close.
  20. That's at least the 3rd ball that has appeared to have been knocked down a bit to straight away right/right center tonight.
  21. So, who's next in line to give away a game?
  22. How can you call both of those pitches strikes? That's an enormous zone.
  23. Alright Carlos, that's all you're getting tonight. Make it work.
  24. So it's gonna be that kind of night huh?
