He's posturing so that it can look like the city will "give" him something; my guess is it will be centered around an agreement to fix up the Sheridan L stop, something the city already needs to do and probably would have done in the relatively near future anyway. Exactly, he has to come out of this looking like all his pissing and moaning gets something for the neighborhood even though at the end of the day, it's about the cash cow that is the Cubs staying exactly where they are and making more money than they are now. If he knows what's good for him, and as long as he's been around, he probably does, he'll shut his mouth and take whatever the city gives him and then pat himself on the back for it (or have Rahm do it for him).
