  1. Look hairy to me
  2. Yeah, he and Alshon totally bailed out my day fantasy wise.
  3. I think that 2 pointer gets reversed. Little bobble at the end there. Guess not.
  4. Why can Podlesh suddenly not kick the ball more than 30 yards or get any hang time?
  5. Yeah, he was standing there like he had the red jersey on.
  6. That was a hell of a spin move.
  7. He was wide open. He airmailed it. Stafford hits that throw every time Except for the 4 he's overthrown on the sidelines today.
  8. Damn, he was open too, just another bad throw by Jay. He was about to get killed though.
  9. They haven't gotten gashed up the middle like this in other games this year, getting killed running up the middle. I'll agree with you, although I felt like the middle was suspect in the other games. To me, I'm wondering how good this Bears team can be if it doesn't get the turnovers in their favor. Are they really a team that can win consistently if the other team protects the football? That's an open question. I've been far more concerned about the defense than the offense since the end of last season. Just getting too old at too many spots with no impact guys in the pipeline.

  11. How is what that DB is doing to Jeffery not defensive holding?
  12. So, apparently Melton wasn't playing terribly? The middle is just getting gashed. Jesus, awful.
  13. That sack is on Jay.
  14. I recommend we just do that for the rest of the game. I'm gonna need at least a couple TDs from Jay, if you know what I mean.
  15. I don't really know. Fox did a pretty bad job explaining what is happening. Something on the Lions for 5 yards.
  16. Sounds like a lot of Bears fans there based on the reaction to the penalty.
  17. No way. He already missed last week because he was hurt. He can't take the pounding that kind of use brings. He's got a really good backfield mate in Bell. They've both had really good seasons so far, with Bell taking the big pounding in short yardage situations.
  18. I could get behind this idea. I've always been in favor of reducing the number of preseason games I have to pay for. The playoffs are always fun to watch and adding one team on each side will increase the drama in my opinion. The problem with reducing preseason games is the contracts most teams have with their stadiums that require a certain number of games to be played there every year and reducing the preseason games causes problems with that.
  19. I'm on the fence here too. Need one flex. Ridley vs. ATL Alshon vs. DET Pierre Thomas vs. MIA on Monday night with Mark Ingram's status uncertain.
  20. after the trade deadline, there's really not a huge incentive to tank. moving up a few spots in the draft isn't very important in baseball, certainly not like it is in (for example) basketball. and every major professional sport has some incentive to tank, whether it be to increase chances in the lottery (nba) or making the draft order simply the reverse order of finish. the much bigger reason to "tank" and not finish 15th is because it makes far more sense to turn an asset like garza into edwards, olt, ramirez and grimm than it does to win another two games the rest of that season, and still miss the playoffs. Another big reason to tank is to get a protected pick and not have to give up your first rounder, especially if you think you're close to competing and are likely to go after a FA with a qualifying offer attached.
  21. It's not like the Cards have nothing to play for. They need to finish ahead of the Braves for home field because the Braves hold the tie breaker. I have a feeling they'll put forth a good effort today.
  22. That meaningless TD on Monday night by McFadden cost me a win. I'm not sure if I would have rather lost than have it end in the ite it did.

    Rizzo

Good? Or were you looking for more? Yeah, that's definitely what everyone here has been saying. You nailed it. Sorry for thinking we all are wanting to succeed. He is dead on, If Rizzo jumps to an .820 OPS he can certainly be our middle of the order bat. Of course we still be losing 90 games, but that's obviously fine. Now if your plan says we get Stanton to hit behind him, then I'll agree. Until something is added, you can't simply say he's fine at that rate, because the stats say differently. In case you were curious, just last year, the San Francisco Giants won the World Series with 1 (yes, 1) qualified player with an OPS higher than .789. Yes, it was Buster Posey and he was awesome, but he was surrounded by utter crap. I'm pretty certain that's not the plan for the Cubs, especially with what's coming up soon from the minors.
  24. I don't care for him, I think he's done a lot of both good and bad for the game. I'm glad to see him go. Yeah, if for no other reason than how much worse the croneyism amongst ownership has gotten in the game since he took over.
  25. I'm inclined to say Bradshaw with some trepidation because of possibly more involvement from Richardson this week. If Pryor is in, I would probably go with Moore.
