  1. Paea, Melton, and Briggs for being injured and forcing them to play 4th and 5th string guys a lot.
  2. Well, there goes the season for sure.
  3. Hyperbole makes it all better, then, I guess. Pretending trestman hadn't [expletive] the bed means they win right? That's an entirely different discussion.
  4. Not so fast on that Cutler thing.
  5. Hell of an effort by the o line down field there.
  6. Losing 2 starters at DT will do that to a run defense. Its more than that though. LBs, DEs and safeties are bad. Yeah, but I really think the back end is getting exposed because of the inability to stop the run up front. Throw in the fact that you don't have either of your admittedly diminished pro bowl level guys in Tillman and Briggs right now and it turns into the disaster we're watching now.
  7. Losing 2 starters at DT will do that to a run defense.
  8. Yep on both. Get it to one score for sure. OR AT LEAST THROW IT TO ONE OF YOUR GIANT RECEIVERS. [expletive] MORON.
  9. Yep, and it was the block that sprung him too.
  10. I don't think he understands the concept of contain and setting the edge. It's brutal to watch him [expletive] up on every misdirection play.
  11. It absolutely wasn't. These refs have no clue. That's the second obvious call they've blown. The PI in the end zone on Conte on the uncatchable pass was worse though.
  12. My god, this is the worst officiated game I've ever watched. These refs have no control over this game whatsoever and don't know the [expletive] rules. Jesus.
  13. He would've gotten killed.
  14. so are we not going to discuss how that ball wasn't catchable on the interference penalty?
  15. Where is the supposed $40MM from TV revenue that every club is getting being spent? Surely they can't have allotted that for renovations already. I think there's money to be spent and all the rumors of being broke are smoke screens for a behind the scenes pounce on a few key guys. Or maybe I'm deluding myself.
  16. Man, no kidding. I was hoping to get to that game all year and have checked StubHub every week. Tickets have barely been below $100 each. I guess my couch wins this one. I'd be willing to bet you can get a pretty solid deal if you go down there on Sunday. I'm thinking about it. I'm guessing a lot of people are trying to take advantage of the Chicago factor and have way over priced their seats hoping to make a buck.
  17. Well, the fantasy football gods looked upon me kindly this week. I won my match up 100-99 and would have been tied if the Patriots had scored at the end of the game with my opponent having Gostkowski to kick the PAT.
  18. Kind of hard to compare payrolls from 10 years ago with the numbers the way they are now. An $80 million payroll in 2003/4 was a really solid number then. It's peanuts now.
  19. why is it unnecessary? how should they have made it better? By not agreeing to a completely horse [expletive] financing deal to help line Zell's pockets to guarantee they'd get the team.
  20. If you seriously think TV Ted Valentine and Ed Hightower will be told how to officiate a game by the NCAA, I think you're sorely mistaken. I have no doubt the B10 season will be as physical as always and it will bite them in the ass in the tournament as usual.
  21. One of the coolest sports moments of our lives. Agreed. Those gold shoes were awesome. If I recall correctly, he was kinda late getting out of the blocks, but had made up most of the stagger from lane 3 by about 3/4 of the way around the turn. I was a 400/800 runner in HS, so I was more partial to his 400m race. He made up the stagger by about 200m in... let up quite a bit towards the end and still won by a second. I was at about 110m and had a great view of them coming out of the turn. He pretty much was even or just a little ahead of the rest of the runners and he looked like he got shot out of a cannon coming out of the turn. The burst he put on from 80-120m was just unreal. That and the wave of flash bulbs as they went around the turn are my two most vivid memories of that 19 seconds of my life.
  22. I had just turned 20 and was able to go because I have an aunt who lives in the Atlanta area. My two buddies and I were in that stadium the night Michael Johnson broke the world record in the 200m. That was insane.
  23. I agree with Tree. Detroit as my first choice and I honestly think Philly would be my #2. That Redskins defense is baaaaad.
  24. I picked up Palmer. He has a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. Of those 2, I'd go Flacco since the Bears D appears to be decimated.
  25. Leader of the ignoramuses, eh?
