  1. And Cardinals fans wonder why people hate them:
  2. That's really not looking like the terrible contract it did the last couple years.
  3. This is sooooooooooooo delicious. I hope they get it to 10-0 and I can make fun of the Cardinals for quitting and listen to their fans' tears of rage falling on the ground.
  4. Attempting to explain to any of their fans how [expletive] lucky they were all season with RISP, Allen Craig in particular, was absolutely mind numbing.
  5. Pick 1: Kendall Wright @ STL Keenan Allen @ Washington
  6. I've never understood this argument. It's not like all of a sudden the AL teams can only have 24 guys on their rosters. This would actually make it more likely that a marginally talented hitter would get a roster spot as a defensive replacement just about every game. There would still be the same number of players on rosters, they'd just be arranged a bit differently.
  7. Good lord is Ortiz on fire. This is getting ridiculous.
  8. I'm always unsure of what to think of guys who play in SD because of that park and all the other NL West parks. How much mental effect is there on their performance due to the sheer size of those stadiums and a change in approach because of it?
  9. It's still Mike [expletive] Shannon. I've despised him from the first time I heard him say Maduxx's name. He insists on pronouncing it Maddox. Drunken d-bag.
  10. Holllllllllllllllllllly [expletive]. That is just awful. But not in the least bit surprising. And as I told the GF, you'd probably see something similar from just about every fanbase, though probably not quite as extreme as this is.
  11. Yeah, not a big fan of the move. He got out of it, but I think he could have gone in a different direction.
  12. I don't think there's any equivalent to the Cardinals "Best Fans" twitter account. It's not possible. I know I am going to regret this but what is the Cardinals "best fans" twitter account? please to enjoy https://twitter.com/BestFansStLouis/ That's delicious The Paula Deen background is just so..............I'm not even sure, but wow.
  13. That just happened at my house, only it was a lot whiter. Also, my Cards fan GF is none too pleased with me right now.
  14. Nothing like losing because you got outscored at the K spot 28-1.
  15. Yep, plus the likelihood of the 49ers being up by a lot and shutting down the passing game is pretty high.
  16. He's actually been pretty consistent. He's giving the low strike and the inside edge to a righty/outside to a lefty. I'm the first to bitch about a bad zone, but I really haven't had a problem with the way this has been called tonight.
  17. Well, this guy's strike zone is huge, so not surprising. Yeah the strike two to Nava was well outside. Yeah, but the last couple strikes to the last batter in the bottom of the 3rd were questionable in my book, so I'm not bitching about it.
  18. Well, this guy's strike zone is huge, so not surprising.
  19. Screw it. Just bring them all up and see what happens. I'm kidding. Mostly.
  20. Yeah, he's like the anti Theo. Didn't he say something about his 2B looking at statistics too much and it screwing him up? I have to think this is just a stalling tactic until Lovullo is available for an interview.
  21. Anybody think Jeremy Kerley of the Jets is a worthwhile add this week in a pinch as a Flex?
  22. Oh, I agree, but I could make sense of it. Now if the end result of this process turns out to be a total and utter failure, then I think a lot of people will jump ship. As for me, I've been a fan since the 80's, so I feel like it can't get a whole lot worse than what I've already experienced. But we'll see, I guess. Yeah, this it about right for me. I got sucked in during the '84 season when I turned 8. The thing that's really made it worse is living in St. Louis in the midst of this stupidly great run they're having with Busch Stadium in sight from my office window.
  23. I hate them, but even a lot of people outside of the Midwest are getting really tired of seeing the Cardinals in late October. Yep, this run has really gotten their fans on their high horse, especially on the TBFIB front. It's vomitous.
  24. Putting him in a spot where he's more likely to have to tackle RBs on a regular basis than at CB seems counter intuitive to me when you're trying to keep him away from injuries.
  25. I have Bradford, Cutler, Cobb, and Wayne.
