  1. That's fantastic.
  2. He doesn't trust himself/his body because it has failed repeatedly. He wasn't putting up consistently awesome numbers because, for the most part, he couldn't, not because he doesn't have the awe-inspiring mental strength of Westbrook. Not entirely, but the mental part is certainly a significant contributor to him not returning to his previous form.
  3. Because the refs were making terrible calls and they knew it so they let him go. The non-charging call where Iowa actually got an and 1 on the alley oop was particularly awful. I'm still not sure what the call even was there. You need a bigger tv. Olaseni was pushed while in the air which is why he ended up out of bounds. Which shouldn't have mattered because there was a very clear charging foul on the Iowa guy who made the pass before the ball ever got to Olaseni. Which is what Groce lost his [expletive] about. Egwu was clearly outside the arc and in position and they just blew the call.
  4. Couple days after. And they really had easy plausible deniability then because Pure Pig's Anus was an all-star at 1B and the team was clearly terrible. Who's this now?

  6. So this is a hilarious Twitterer: The Will To Win @TWTW35 Real sports analysis by real men. Numbers not welcome. My favorite part is the profile pic of Hawk.
  7. So I've seen the eye gouging stuff, but Woodbury is generally just a giant piece of [expletive].
  8. So, 37.5% of the offense from the starting lineup and the #1 contributor from the bench are going to be rookies or near-rookies and you have a problem with saying the outcome of the season is highly dependent upon those guys? When two out of the three are being counted upon as the second and third best hitters in the lineup? It's a perfectly valid storyline. Did Castro die?
  9. I've had that done and it sucks a lot. May not be a SS after having this done.
  10. Pretty decent effort from Illinois today considering it seems every single odd bounce and rebound has gone Wisconsin's way.
  11. Busch is fairly generic, but PNC is my favorite non-wrigley stadium. At&t is #1 for me, PNC #2.
  12. Normally I'd completely agree with you, but that's just a bad match up for UI. For whatever reason, Michigan doesn't ever foul them and they weren't aggressive going to the rim last night and couldn't get to the line, which is a pretty integral part of their offense.
  13. Where is Leron Black?
  14. oh COME ON It's a legit concern. I mean, the guy didn't have any spare brain cells to begin with and that probably cost him a few. He sounds like drunken stuttering monkey on air most of the time anyway. They don't come any meatballier than him.
  15. I'm at the Wichita State game right now. Great place to watch a game. And for anybody who bitches about the B1G officiating, this has been far, far worse. Van Vleet is good. He's got 14 at half and I barely noticed him getting there.
  16. This theory has been trounced so many times it's not even funny. What's "killed" them in the playoffs under Thibs is Rose being dead. It's fun to pretend, I know. Why do you thing first Deng and then Butler have tanked in the playoffs over and over? Coincidence? Are they "soft"? Mostly because the best player on the team wasn't on the floor and they were guarding the best player on the planet.
  17. Guerrero Jr. will be eligible to sign with a major league team as an international free agent on July 2, 2015. Thanks Siri. I mean David.
  18. Then we get to count Choi having massive head trauma and being broken into his ranking. And Soler is twice as good at twice as tough a position.
  19. The last 10 minutes of that game really sting now. Stupid Rice. The ball has been moving so much better on offense without him in there.
  20. Colbert has been pretty damn solid today. He's not looked completely lost the last few games.
  21. Well, we missed the call in real time, so instead of doing what we should have, we're just going to hand MSU the game. [expletive].
  22. I have no idea how they can possibly make that call. So [expletive] awful.
  23. Welp, there's the home cooking to give them the advantage.
  24. Tv Ted and crew doing a typical pretty awful job in the UI-MSU game.
  25. Sorry I'm late to this. I have not seen Coleman since he left Indianapolis Cathedral for La Lumiere. So I'm projecting a bit more than I'd like, but I would suspect he'll be able to play right away. He's a good athlete, long-armed, and has very good all-around skills. He took a lot of mid-range shots when I've seen him (not really meant as a complaint, he's a very good shooter--he just didn't really get to the rim often). I wouldn't expect him to be a star immediately but I'd be pretty surprised if he's not ready for significant minutes. Not necessarily as a direct player-to-player comparison, but, using IU freshman, I'd expect him to be more akin to what Robert Johnson has given IU this year, as opposed to James Blackmon, Jr. (and I do not mean that as an insult, Johnson has been quite good). Thanks for the response. Blackmon is the name I've often seen him compared to, so it's interesting you don't see him as the same type player. All in all he's closer to what I expected, solid but not a star immediately. I guess the good thing is that Groce keeps stacking those type of players and eventually when he has some of his own upperclassmen we should be improved, that is if he can ever add a legit point guard. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by Tate's progress this year. He's been getting more aggressive going to the hole lately too.
