    Far less Rice hero-ball down the stretch. Yep. They ran much better offense tonight outside of about a five minute stretch in the second half where Starks decided to start chucking. I can't say I'm surprised by it a lot in the first game after they lost Rice, but we'll see what kind of adjustments get made to take away Hill and how they react to that before I get too excited about it. Much better energy defensively last night as well.

    I'm not turning a blind eye and don't give a [expletive] about who used what. I am greatly annoyed that the narrative is Sammy Sosa, proven steroid user, most other guys, clean all-american boy. I don't think that's the narrative at all. I think most here are perfectly okay with saying Bonds, McGwire, Clemens, etc. were all deep in bed with steroids and Sosa is just another one of that group. All are being unnecessarily punished by the voters. I mean, come on, Bonds and Clemens are only getting in the 30s% votes? Dumb.

    Having seen Spagnuolo's effort in STL up close and how meh his defenses have been since he left NY, I'm not interested in him at all. I think it may have just been the perfect storm for him with essentially 4 all pro defensive linemen at his disposal while he was there.

    I read Castillo as Castro at first and about had a stroke.

    The only reason I don't have a big problem with the flag being picked up was the receiver's tug on the LB's facemask right before the contact. I think that may have influenced the contact the LB made with the receiver. If he doesn't do that, there's no doubt in my mind it's DPI.

    They have screwed up every different type of call you can so far. It's just ridiculous. I man it doesn't matter we suck, like we have since Dee Brown played for us, but I'd sure like to watch a game that wasn't over whistled. I think those 2 calls got them rattled and they fell apart. They're not good and I'm losing faith in Groce's coaching ability. They are unproductive and unorganized far too often on offense for it to not be related to him.

    Are you talking about Denorfia? And if so, you mean 2014 right? He had 4 WAR in 2013, which was way higher than anything he'd done previously. 2014 was an outlier going the other way too though. I had just taken a quick look at the offensive numbers and they looked similar to other years. Definitely an outlier with most of the extra WAR coming from defense it would appear.

    Rayvonte Rice should never again be allowed to have the ball in his hands at the end of the game. That's twice in a row he's jacked around with the ball and taken a [expletive] shot as the clock expired. He didn't get lucky this time. Run the [expletive] play the coach told you to or get the hell off the floor.

    2nd night of a back to back. Rose probably isn't quite used to that yet. He'll be fine based on what we've seen lately, just needs to get in better basketball shape.

    No, but the way the media is spinning this, it seems like the mere presence of Phillips is possibly causing highly qualified people to not want to be involved with the Bears. I have no idea if there's any truth to that whatsoever, but if there is, he needs to be gone regardless of whatever the hell it is Hub is referring to.

    I get your point, but Garopollo (or anybody else last year with the same issue) wasn't projected to be a possible top 5 pick either.
