  1. Good results, but not enough strikes for my taste: [tweet] [/tweet]
  2. He's as bad as or worse than anyone on our bench. He's really, really bad at baseball. I don't understand why so much of the fanbase has trouble accepting this. You're seriously the worst. You have no idea (nor does anyone else for that matter) how he'll adjust after last year. He's clearly very qualified to play 3rd and he has enough power to be useful. Even if he turns into Mark Hendricks, he's a highly useful bench piece. In other words, shut your speculative and uninformed piehole. Who is Mark Hendricks? Olt is bad. He has been bad for a long time. Gerting a healthy Ramirez back this year would be tremendous. I assume he meant Mark Reynolds. Yeah, Reynolds. Beer fests are bad for memory use.
  3. It's all of them outside of Cincy and Chicago markets. What makes this better is MLBTV still has the blackout going despite this. What a wonderful system MLB has. Yeah, that's pissing me off. I have no way to watch the game at all because MLBTV claims I'm in the blackout area. BS.
  4. There's rain in BFE Missouri so I don't get to watch hockey yet.

  6. I picked up all these yesterday. There shall be drunkenness tonight!
  7. I feel confident saying it would be the worst supporting cast of any NBA Champion. Then factor in how good the Warriors are and I would think that he'd be putting in an all time great Finals performance. I agree with the general line of thought here, but let's back off how good the Warriors are. I think Curry is pretty limited right now due to the head trauma and he's really what makes that team go.
  8. I think a good bit will be decided on whether Happ is 250 or 500 under.....I can see Hudson signing at a mill(taking up the 250), but it's also conceivable he signs at slot, in my opinion. He's an Illinois kid anyway, it wouldn't shock me, at least. But I figure it's a mill or so. I'm hoping Wilson signs for slot, the Vandy thing worries me though. At any rate, with 5 straight senior signs, plus Happ, Im hopeful we've got room for one Sands, DeMers type. being an Illinois kid likely is irrelevant. it's a near 100% guarantee he's a Cardinals fan.
  9. Because the whole point is to bring up someone who can, you know, hit. Villanueva is a huge question mark in that aspect at best.
  10. That seems a little irresponsible to leave a pitcher with forearm tightness on the mound for another couple innings after it was clearly bothering him. I'd be pissed if the Cubs did that with Arrietta or Hendricks for sure.

W T F Well, yeah, but this is far from the dumbest thing he's said.
  12. Um, pay attention guy. We sent him to the Rays in the Garza trade. Rumor has it they had the choice of him or McNutt and they took Archer.

I can understand the thinking that it will not have an effect, but if he isn't up already is that not a strong indication that it is playing a role? I'd think that has a whole lot more to do with allowing him more time to become comfortable and confident with the adjustments he's made than service time up to now. However, since he's proving to be pretty effective, now that it's close, it's certainly a big factor.
  14. Any idea what time this thing is supposed to get going?
  15. About damn time. I'm amazed no one killed themselves on that stupid thing. [tweet] [/tweet]

  17. It's just generally not going to be practical to have all 4 games in one day. You need to block off 4 hours for each game when you take into account all the extra commercials and extended halftimes plus being able to have a short preview for each game. I'd bet when it get's there, they have 2 on NYE and 2 on NYD to get the biggest available audience (unless you get Jan 2nd as a weekend day and that would be the 2nd day of games).
  18. That tells me more about the terribleness of the Brewers than anything else.
