  1. He swung about 5 minutes late on strike 3 in his first AB and it wasn't even an inside pitch. Then he does that. Crazy.
  2. Marlon Byrd grand slam to put the Giants up 4-0.
  3. Stanozolol, lots and lots of stanozolol.
  4. Yeah, if he keeps throwing it like that, it's going to be a long night.
  5. Man, after reading parts of the complaint, this just seems weird. Kinda gross on his part, pretty naive and seemingly very insecure actions on her part. It would make sense to me if she was uncomfortable with all the things he was asking her to do, she would have told him to take a hike long before the alleged incident. Really hope it's BS for his sake, but who knows.
  6. This is correct by solving the following system of equations. You're welcome, David: x = Cubs remaining wins y = Giants remaining losses z = Dodgers remaining losses x+y=31 x+z=34 y+z=7 (Dodgers and Giants play each other 7 times, so they will combine for at least 7 losses). x = 29 Or you can just go look at the highest elimination number in the standings at MLB.com while you drink your beer and not have to do any math.
  7. Screw you Tim. I'm going to a World Series game in Kansas City where I will watch the Cubs win it in Game 6 this November.

Meh, not enough dongs. In all seriousness, looks like really solid progress and I'm sure the pop will get back to near normal levels once he completely figures the new approach out and is comfortable with it.

What do the rest of the numbers look like in that same time frame?

Man, I really want to see him succeed more than ever now. Seems like a really good dude and it seems like the organization just gets it in general. They've handled situations like this so well in the last couple years and I really don't think there's a better guy to have leading them all than Maddon.
  11. WTF was that last pitch to Crawford? Change up or slider that just floated?

  13. Posted at GRB yesterday: Check out the last 30 days... Fowler .327/.452/.644 Bryant .290/.382/.591 Rizzo .313/.402/.667 Russell .301/.327/.516 Schwarber .217/.348/.500 Montero .289/.400/.632 Coghlan .224/.272/.500 Soler .287/.357/.379 That's just cartoonish in this offensive environment. I'm especially amused by Schwarber's ISO.
  14. It really is, but if you visit in July, bring a coat and some pants. It's chilly and windy.
  15. I like this a lot: [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. He's doing a parody of Rondon Fan kids. Just go with it.
  17. For the Giants maybe. It's quite enjoyable for me.
  18. This is really, really, really, fun.
  19. The Deshaies quotes thing is a pretty decent follow.
  20. This made me chuckle every time I've read it so far:
  21. More terrible Marlins base running, but at least Cutch made an error first to give the fish the lead 2-1.
  22. Man, watching teams do dumb things against the teams ahead of the Cubs might be more irritating than watching the Cubs do dumb things. Hechavarria smoked a ball into the LF corner for the fish and decided to try to stretch it into a triple against Marte, who made a really easy throw to 3rd base to nail him easily.
  23. I'm not sure what this means, but it seems good: [tweet] [/tweet]
  24. Oh god, I missed the crazy eyes the first time! That's great.
