Well Clement was the only Red Sox pitcher, and he hasnt been as good as Buherle, I think he has been better then Garland. But overall he wasnt one of the top 2 or 3 pitchers in the AL.

I really dont see what the argument is, every coach picks his own guys if he has the chance, and he has the right to hes the coach. If Dusty was the coach and one of the cubs pithers was in the same positon as carpenter, I would have no problem with Dusty picking him. There is nothing wrong with showing loyalty to your guys, as long as he is deserving, and Carp is defintley deserving to be in the running for it.

The averages have to do with what he is saying, and that is that saying that carptenter has to keep up his career year to earn respect, and he feels the Lee has to as well. I think the whole argument is dumb because I dont see either of them slumping at any point this season.

Hopefully they can only find a lefty batting practice pitcher, and instead of counting chois HRs we can count how many pitches he swings and misses at.

the white sox arugment isnt even close to being the same thing, because none of them are close to having the top number. Pujols is in the top 5 in average, home runs, rbis, and runs so its a little different. I think right now that Lee is the MVP but if pujols has the lead in RBIS and runs at the end of the year and closes the HR's and Avearage I could see him winning it because the cards will make the playoffs. It was the same thing as in 98 where Sosa got it over Mcgwire even though he didnt hit as many HR's or rbis but the cubs made the playoffs and the cards were awful.

edmonds just make another unbelievable diving catch, so lets hear some more talk about how he took a bad route so he could intentionally dive.

i dont think that either church or wilkerson are done there, church in on the dl but when he returns i would assume he will play rf and marlon byrd will sit most the games

i think that wood would waive a no trade clause to go to texas. maybe something like wood for mench and dellucci, or mench and nix.

no way the angels trade mcpherson for lawton and wells, it would take alot more then that to get him away from them.

at the end of the year the cubs sos will also be higher because you have to play the cardinals 16 times and they are a .650 team where as we have to play the cubs who are right now a .500 team. i dont think the cubs will stay .500 but those will alter the sos

i dont think that you are dumb for being optimistic, everyone should be but there is a major difference. that is you were only 5 and half out, now you are 11 and half out. also you guys were a better team then that stros team. the cubs are not better then the cardnials this year.

the cardinals seemed to do allright trading with scherholtz, getting marquis, ray king, and wainright for jd drew.

as a cardinals fan I am very happy about this, Lee deserves to be the starter, plus pujols will be the DH. plus now eckstein is leading, allthough i think it sholud be lopes of the reds ecksteins is more deserving then izturis. so congrats to Lee he deserves to start.
