  1. Now that I think about it, Dubois made some aesthetically pleasing errors in left last season, turning and spinning like a ballerina trying to track the ball. Good times.
  2. as opposed to all those pretty errors comitted by.... Corey made a nice error last summer. I think it was against Toronto, but I'm not sure. He caught a fly ball. The runner on third tagged up and took two or three steps toward home plate. Corey nearly threw the ball over the net behind home. The arc on that throw was beautiful.
  3. Please don't boo him. That would hurt his feelings and make the atmosphere unpleasant for the other fans. Thanks.
  4. Fixed At least they won't occupy our falls.
  5. Z will hit a gapper to right center and stretch it into a triple.
  6. Rocket - Could you please tell us how many hits Chan Ho Park has given up. Thank you.
  7. at this rate the game will take about 90 minutes Yes, but neither team will score, so the game will have to go to extra innings. Even a blind chicken finds a kernel. One team will accidentally score tonight. i thought it was a blind squirrel finding a nut I think the phrase is fairly flexible. Even a blind mouse finds a wedge of cheese. Even a blind panda finds a bamboo shoot. Etc.

  9. and right now he has fewer wins than, well, anyone with a win Seth McClung owns Z.
  10. Padres announcers wonder when Z is going to put it all together. Like Brenneman and Gracie a couple of nights ago, they're going on as if wins were the measure of how good a pitcher is. Z had more wins than Roger Clemens last year, but fewer wins than Jeff Suppan. Yeah.
  11. this is sickening. It's just two innings. On his second trip through the lineup, the Cubs will pound him. BANK ON IT!
  12. He was trying to go the other way. That's what good hitters do.
  13. He looks good. Nice sink on the fastball.
  14. like what? Said before Lee got injured he was playing pretty good D at second base and praised him for his bat and his nice job at first while Lee's out of the lineup. They didn't directly criticize Cubs management for trying to move him in the offseason but they did discuss it.
  15. Padres announcers said lots of nice things about Walker during his at-bat.
  16. Mike Piazza's not playing tonight to make the game more competitive.
  17. Why not? He's not playing. 11 at-bats so far this year. Delgado is at first, and Nady, Beltran, and Floyd are in the OF. Milledge is going to be the next OF to get playing time. There's no place on the Mets for Diaz.
  18. If we were going to deal with the Mets for someone, it would be Victor Diaz. Nady is playing well right now, but Diaz is probably the better player (not by much, but better) and he's currently blocked at both left and right field as well as first base (he's worked on playing first a little - it was thought he might play there this season before the Mets picked up Delgado). He's probably not in long term plans, either, as Lastings Milledge will be their next OF.
