  1. So nuts is now 1 for his last 6 in cardinals predictions and is bragging. God bless nsbb.
  2. Kozma turned back into a pumpkin.
  3. Same can be said of AJ.
  4. He lost a rib this year and has pitched what 6 games? He should be terrible.
  5. He's always been muppet creepy.
  6. Brandon belt is not nearly as good as I thought he would be.
  7. Lance Lynn just carved up Buster Posey. Lance Lynn.
  8. Watch it, it'll make you have reason to watch when you return the favor come basketball season.
  9. I thought I was. Regardless the Cardinals have once again ruined baseball for me. :banghead:
  10. Hey I think I won't die because if I do think die that means I'm a fan of death. Or something, maybe I'm doing it wrong.
  11. They're gonna light Verlander up, aren't they?
  12. In that photo Jim is telling Brian he needs to get more like the cardinals. I assume they'll sign a crap ton of light hitting middle infielders.
  13. And Granderson. Yeah I don't get it, isn't Joe a Northwestern graduate? How hasn't he thought this all out better? Worse, he has a BS in Industrial Engineering-- you know, the study of optimizing processes. Of course he does. Lol.
  14. And Granderson. Yeah I don't get it, isn't Joe a Northwestern graduate? How hasn't he thought this all out better?
  15. The Yankees are about to be a hot mess. And Girardi made it all worse by benching ARod.
  16. Why hasn't Mark Prior signed there yet? He'd be healed instantly.
  17. Man the cardinal front office is smart. Matt carpenter.
  18. We may not have had a lot of fun things to watch since 09, but we are very lucky to have Len Kasper as our pbp guy. I hope he never leaves.
  19. It's because of how smart the cardinals' front office is. I'm sure.
  20. I just feel like many people in Illinois cherry picked the Cardinals because they are nearby and win a lot. I find it rather annoying. It's ok if you don't. A lot of people in Southern Illinois probably picked the Cardinals because of proximity. I think that is much more of a factor than where the state lines are, or some notion that because you live in a state it means you have to be a fan of teams within it. If some yokel from Belleville or Centralia or something is a Cards fan, I don't the controversy. Me either, but why the hell did they do that only in baseball? Why not football also? I understand where you're coming from, Illini, because I know plenty of Chiefs/Cardinals fans and Bears/Cardinals fans and a fair amount of Packers/Cardinals fans Cowboys/Cardinals fans and 49ers/Cardinals fans. What you have to understand is that many people my age (24) and older had favorite football teams before the Rams came into town. Now, if you jumped on the "bob-and-weave" bandwagon and then jumped back to your team when the wheels came off, I think that's weak. And many have done that. But I do think there is something to what Illini is saying. For instance, Mizzou has zero national championships in anything. The fan support is just not there. There are way too many fans of Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, Duke and all the SEC schools (because everybody thinks they're "southern"). In general, Cardinals fans are front runners outside of their support for the Cardinals. But to say that MET is one because he likes the Bears and Cardinals is hard to support. Yeah I shouldn't just assume MET is that way. But good lord am I around a lot of that here. KU basketball, STL cardinal, KState football, and Chicago bulls fans here are common. So frustrating.

  23. I just have this crazy notion that it's odd for people to have favorite teams they connect to located all over the united states. And compared to the rams, yeah I'd say the bears have a pretty amazing history. Probably had the best NFL team ever in our lifetimes. Located all over the US. Like Chicago and that city on the other side of the world...St Louis. You aren't coming off very good in this one . I mean it's ok, I just don't get it. If the Bears and Bulls are good enough for you to cheer for, why not the White Sox or Cubs? Is it because they don't win enough?

I grew up in Southern Illinois in the 1980s. Cardinals and Bears country. Have I passed the residency test or do I need to produce a birth certificate Mr Trump? I moved from Illinois in my mid twenties.
