Good lord. We historically own recruiting south of I-80 in the state. This is a huge miss. Maybe Groce will get the message he shouldn't be flirting with Indiana kids. I get that it sucks we missed on him, but Groce only had 6 months of recruiting him. He also just got Kendrick Nunn using the our state, our program pitch. I think he understands the value of recruiting Illinois. I think that what hurt us here is targeting the mean streets program and the Chicago aau scene. Mullins apparently is pretty pissed at us. Oh well.

Stop being so sensitive, I said he was a legacy. He asked if Purdue had gotten a kid out of Illinois that Illinois wanted recently and they have. Being a legacy is no lock anyway. Purdue didnt get Gary Harris or GRobIII. Apparently the Michigan Rivals website is saying KBD to Michigan this coming week. That guy also said to Illinois last week. I don't think he knows anything.

I'm not sure how they won that game. They were out rebounded by 20 and shot like crap. That was a very lucky win. Hopefully they got a bad one out of the way and play well in the Maui.

Demetrius (sp?) Oh, I never thought he was a lock to us. Just a couple of guys on loyalty did, guys who have sources within the program. Which makes me think we were very close.

Are we talking about Lewis Jackson? Did anyone on here ever think he was an Illinois lock? I never wanted him, I'm not a fan of guys his size unless they are top 30 good.

How in the hell is Gotfried recruiting like this? For Anya, NC State was literally the only team still recruiting him. Indiana dropped out a couple weeks ago, so he didn't really have a choice. Come on, a top 40 big man had no other choice? He could have waited until the spring. Someone would have found room.

Is he gonna just be ok with the missed games? If the latest report about the biasedness of the NCAA is true on his case, can he seek legal retribution? What do you mean by the first question? I doubt he'll seek any retribution. He'll play out the season and head to the NBA. I bet he wouldn't have done much even of it was a bigger suspension. I meant I think it's crap he missed any games at all. So is he ok with missing those games?

Didn't Kendall decide after Malcom Hill verballed to us? Plus it's gonna get harder for you to come in now being as our current coach is much more highly regarded as a recruiter. Nope, Kendall committed in early 2011. Obviously, he's a legacy so that helped. It's never going to be easy. Illinois hasn't pulled anyone from Indiana in the last decade. Ok, how does that matter in relation to KBD? Did he move to indiana? Just stating that its already tough odds to pull a kid from someone else's backyard. Gotcha. I think you guys better really hope Groce isn't legit. If he is you could be left with scraps. Since Crean is getting whatever he wants.

Have you gotten any top level players under painter? I'm not trying to attack purdue or anything, but I just don't see Matt painter landing a McDAAs type. Moore, Johnson, Hummel, 6 Top 100 players between 12' and 13'. Top 25 guys, no, not yet. Yeah, exactly my point. Recently how many guys from Illinois have you went head to head with us for and came away happy?

Let me preface this by saying Paul Pierce is a great basketball player, but good god he is a bitch. Every time you have the ball you aren't getting fouled Paul. If he was a wrestling doll his move thing would be the palms up in the air thing.
