yes... thanks for summing up what I said.With the way this team is built 2007 is not going to be great either. I think they should blow this puppy up at all levels of management and make a real run at 2009. Most of us aren't willing to wait another 3 years. With the payroll the Tribune is supplying the team, there is absolutely no excuse to not be in contention every year. We have waited 98 years what is another 3? With the way that this team is costructed there is no way to fix it that fast.

I think if I was any team but the cubs I would do this trade. Since we are the Cubs we would only screw up the development of these kids. Thus I say nah.

Ronny sucks. Oh and the Twins have to be cheating to beat The Mark Buerhle. Oh yeah. No way that Mark Buerhle could have ever thrown a fastball right down the middle. Just ask him. They are using Holograms, scoreboard signals, and sign stealing. -

In '04' The Cubs were well over .500. well, i guess that refutes their point even more. :D touche, I never understood how scoring runs was bad. If you are going to have horrible OBP as a team, you better have some mashers.

Soriano, this year has played like he should. Soriano has a baseball card full of years where he was good in ESPN stats, but lacking in other parts that make him value added. That said I would much rather have him on this cubs because he can handle the heat and thus dusty would play him everyday. Oh and Matt Murton is was better than Joey Belle.

If we would have brought in a righty to start the inning McKeon had mentioned he would have used Harris in placee of Lowell. Dusty bringing in a lefty to start the inning which he later mentioned was to keep a check on Lenny. So it was lost in Game 6, but could have been won long before Game 6 even happened.

no need to dwell on the past..and personally I think Wood was ruined before he got to the majors because of his back issues he had as a kid.. as for Prior.. as I said in the other thread... I think he will return to form next year.That is just irresponsible. Wood wasn't ruined in 98 or 01,02,03. He was ruined by Johnnie B Baker. Plain and simple. Yup, Dusty caused Kerry to have to undergo Tommy John surgery after the 1998 season. Also, you claim Kerry wasn't ruined in 2003 yet claim he was ruined by Johnnie B Baker. But I believe Johnnie B Baker was the Cubs manager in 2003. So you are, in essence, contradicting yourself. Well in 2003 Woody was great, but by being as abused as he was a lot of people point to that season as the beginning of the end of both he and Prior. In '98 it wasn't Dusty's fault, but a lot of pitchers come back from one arm surgery. Reguardless of all of this though it should be clear to everyone that Dusty is doing the same thing with Z now that he did with both of these guys before they were always hurt and I think it is scary that upper management allows it.

Game 1. Who shall we pitch to...Mike Lowell or Lenny Harris? ](*,) Ah well going to and probably winning the World Series wan't that important yet. That was only year one of Dusty's plan. With our young staff and great GM we will soon be able to claim multiple Titles.

Dude if you would have been here in 03 you would have thought oh its ok Mark has perfect mechanics, he won't hurt his arm from overuse. Dude, I am a life long Cubs fan... who is 18 years old.. I was here in '03... and I blame that colapse on Alex Gonzolaz, who is retired by the way, and Busty Baker.I just want to limit Z's pitch count so in two years we aren't watching him pitch his way out of baseball like we are Prior right now.
