Why should the players get capped when I have to pay $8.00 for a beer and $5.50 for a hot dog? Lets say I have a family of 4. Tickets are $20.00. Then I decide we are all gonna get a drink and some dogs at the above rates, substituting pops for the kids. I just spent $134.00 Now take that times 40,000 like the cubs get a game. Where should that money go? All of it to the owners, or a nice slice for the players who we all came to watch? Good for Gil Meche. There was some rumor he tried to get into Bradley but was not accepted there either. I would imagine he transferred to some JC or something. Too bad I really liked his athleticism and thought he could have contributed. I think he was also upset with playing time. Well if memory serves Bradley was a bad choice if he was struggling with his grades. They are a pretty tough school. As for playing time, wasn't he there all of a semester? Some of these kids are amazing thinking they will just go in an be given minutes from the get go. He had redshirted a year so was at Wisconsin a year and a half, but only played for one semester. Oh yeah that's right, but the point still remains Wisconsin is a very good program. not very many kids who aren't MCDAA's are going to go in there and start from day one. Hell even some MCDAA's don't, ask Butch.

How long is he expected to be suspended? The Big Ten is down but it should be exciting at least for the sheer unpredictability of it all. Wisconsin should be the unanimous favorite with OSU second as long as Oden is ready for Big Ten play. I think Illinois is just a step down and then you have have Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, Purdue and maybe even Penn State that are tough to call. It really is impossible to sort through those teams right now. Not long enough. This guy had his chance after a break in with Luther Head. Then he goes out and does this as a senior leader. Pretty unreal. I agree the top two teams are really going to be good. That said we do only play OSU at home. Who knows stranger things have happened. Like them beating our undefeated team. Tyler Smith was a nice pick up for you guys. I wish we had our forwards and your guards.

Well Rich McBride sure changed how our team looks on paper. I still think we will be the third best team in the big ten behind Wiscy and OSU though. I think Randle is going to be very, very improved. Jamar Smith is a player. Shaun Pruitt was our best best post player at some points last year. The two freshmen should be good. I don't get why everyone is so down on top 50 player Brian Carwell? Plus we got Warren Carter.

Depends on what they want them for. The Allen and Ginter Cards are really sharp if you are looking for a great looking card. The Heritage series of both Topps and Bowman are also neat cards. I like to do through the mail autographs and as such I usually get the guys when they are really young, so I like the Bowman set and the especially the Bowman draft pick set.

According to the roster Oneri gave me at the game his DOB is 1/10/88 so 18...19 on 2007's opening day. Soon they will all be born after the first night game. Pretty amazing.

That's cool. But I just don't see where this thinking means it's inappropriate for others to express doubt in the team. I mean you can express doubt, but some of these posters are just ripping into everything and anything right now. One fan posted in transactions that he heard on the radio Macphail resigned. He prefaced it with saying he hadn't seen it posted, but thought it was interesting. The second poster had to make a point or rolling his eyes and being all sarcastic. Why are we all turning on each other and everything cubs related. We had a really bad year. It looks like a lot of the factors that went into that are leaving. Let's enjoy that if only for one day. It's hard to enjoy taking out the trash. Especially if we don't know that it's not just going to get replaced with more trash. That's just my opinion. Oh I agree, if they do bring in Lou then yeah this meant nothing. But, I will cross that bridge when we get to it. Until then I am going to remain optimistic.

It's what they do after is what counts, and I can honestly say I don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling it'll be constructive in building a winner. It's just a opinion. No the easiest thing they can do is allowing the crap to continue while injuring great, young pitchers. Like they did the last three years.
