  1. While I would agree it would be nice to see him miss more bats, Chien MIng Wang for the Yankees has done alright without really striking a lot of guys out.
  2. Anyone watching inside the nba? I think Kenny Smith just gave Rasheed Wallace cancer. Or something.
  3. Supposedly his velocity was up around 94 his first couple of outtings. If he is over the drug problem he could be a nice suprise for the Marlins. Had amazing stuff.
  4. Was this his 1st start off the DL? Along with being his first start of the year. Looks like this mights not be it for Gallardo either. He just batted in the top of the 8th... Awesome
  5. He's a Cardinal, so naturally I don't believe you. They cannot keep this up. Cannot. They are a poorly constructed baseball team.
  6. We should trade Dempster after this hot start. Maybe Houston would be willing to unload Oswalt? In all seriousness, I cannot believe how well Ryan has been pitching.
  7. Eyelid Eric, sorry for the delayed response. On diaper duty.
  8. This isn't Jesus Dempster, it's his brother Ryan. The way he has pitched so far this year, you never know.
  9. Jesus Dempster he was obviously looking to go to right. Why give him something to hit that way?
  10. In their defense, if you winning or going to overtime depends on Tim Duncan missing or making a 3-pointer, you take your chances every day and twice on Sunday. I don't think so. It is simple math. They cannot beat you if you foul. There is still a chance, albeit a small one, of Duncan beating you on a three. Just foul, box out, and win.
  11. I don't get to see them very often, but why doesn't Luther Head get more time for them? Veteran bias with Bonzi Wells and Bobby Jackson (before the trade), for one. Houston also seems to use him mostly as a backup for McGrady, who obviously doesn't sit much. That's too bad, his shooting could really help them.
  12. Wait isn't the Angels infield still pretty good? I mean sure McPherson didn't work out, but I still like the restof those young, cheap guys. Also young pitching can have setbacks, that is why you stockpile it. Hell if anyone Cubs' fans should know this.

  14. I don't mind the Mavs at all, but I hope they make a quick exit here. There have been rumblings about Avery Johnson possibly losing his job if Dallas doesn't do anything in the playoffs. He'd be the perfect coach for the Bulls, IMO. While Johnson may in fact be the right guy for the Bulls, it won't matter unless the Bulls overhaul that roster.
  15. I take it Phoenix didn't watch the national title game either. Two times they could have fouled and stopped game tying threes. Two times they didn't. Two times the Spurs made threes. It really isn't rocket science. You give the foul.
  16. Ned Yost also took Braun out in a tie game for defensive purposes. So he sucks that badly in LF? Ouch. Well at least Ned thinks so. He does suck badly in LF, but taking him out in a tie game is nothing short of idiotic. Ned Yost is our best shot at the division title again.

  19. To kill time. Ok just dont express your opinions on the Cubs while wasting time. Yeah, just don't go against the popular opinion on this board.
  20. To kill time. To prove how smart we are so that the new owner might notice our baseball skillz and offer a job in the front office, of course. Touche
  21. That's what I was thinking. They are bad at everything. Defensively, offensively, pitching. Not one facet of their game is good. They actually have been pretty good when they aren't playing us.
  22. Yeah, boy, that DeRosa sure has been an unreliable, terrible hitter this year. Man, you nailed that one. It's too bad our GM targeted his position to upgrade when we have a glaring hole at SS.
